How do I get rid of it without destroying my moms computer?

Can't open-system restore, task manager. For IE, every page comes up as a warning. Everything comes with a prompt saying it can't be opened because it's harmful(including Norton). Opened in safe mode to try and find something related to it and nothing was found.

Anyone ran across this virus/Trojan before?

Yep..I had Super Antispyware installed on my computer..and it got rid of it. That was the only cleaning program I was able to open. She play a lot of games online?

Here's where you can try to download it and install...it's free. You probably won't be able to if you don't already have it on your computer though...but worth a shot...

Downloaded it and it's on the desktop and says it cannot be executed because it's infected. Everything is like that. She doesn't play any games at all, basically uses for school(she's a teacher) and facebook.

Any computer shop will be able to take care of it for you pretty easily. You don't have to destroy the computer.

See if you can create another login with Admin rights on the computer or if there is another user, login as them and try running the problem. Usually, these things are profile specific and you can get around cleaning them by using another profile.

My grandma had a virus on her computer the other day and I went over to take a look. I couldn't get anything to open, it was throwing me errors with everything I tried to...

Finally, I restarted the computer and once the desktop popped up I rushed into the System Tools and performed a system restore. I was able to get it launched, select a rollback date and reboot before the virus started up and it worked.

Install some anti-malware software (like the ones here: http://lifehacker.com/5227896/five-best-malware-removal-tools]) on a usb drive and run them from there.

Should work.

Booting into safe mode with networking may allow you to go in, download, and run it.

I had a virus that I could not get rid of, it deleted restore points. I worked on this for the longest time, searching web sites & trying to figure it out. What finally fixed it for me was a site called combofix. www.combofix.com. It was free and it resolved the problem. Also try searching www.bleepingcomputer.com

I have the exact same virus right now I think. I have AVG, but it won't even let me run it. says everything is infected. Weird thing is that I have both IE and Firefox on my PC. I'm on Fire Fox now and can get to stuff that I can't get to on IE. Funny thing is that I got the virus after someone sent me a link to the clown porn. Ever since I saw that video, my computer has been fucked up lol

Hold down F8 when you start your PC.

1. Download rkill and try and run it until it successfully "goes". It goes through and tries to kill the virus process, and lets you actually make progress. http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.com
2. Download MBAM: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe
3. Download Combofix (if 2 fails) http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
