According to John Fay it will be LeCure called up to fill Homer's spot in the rotation. He's a righty and therefore matches up better with Houston.
I'm happy for Sam. He's pitched well at Louisville and deserves a shot at the bigs.
Not a bad draw on a team to make your first major league start against huh?

I've wanted to see LeCure pitch. He gets the least amount of publicity out of all the young guys. I kinda wanted to watch him live (I have tickets to the Bats-Clippers game on Memorial Day) but I guess I can settle for somebody like Chapman

I like this decision. Maybe we find another Leake. Too bad about Justin Lehr, though. He has a long road back.

What's the info on LeCure. Power or Finesse? What pitches does he throw??

LeCure pitched very well in Louisville. He was 5-2 with a 2.55 ERA in nine starts. He pitched a one-hit shutout his last time out and seven scoreless innings in the start before that.
Le Cure has a major average fastball, i.e, he tops out at 92. He also throws a sinking two-seam fastball, a curveball, change-up and slider.
“Everything starts and ends with me, and most people, with the fastball and the command of it,” LeCure said. “That’s something I’ve been able to do well this year. I mix in the breaking stuff for strikes and make guys aware of stuff early on the game.”

LeCure gave up a Solo HR to Hunter Pence..... Reds follow up w/ a Solo HR from B-Phil, Infield single from Rolen & Triple by Gomes.. 2-1 Bottom 1

2-2 Top 3, 2nd and 3rd for the Stros with one out. Looks like they will be loaded after intentionally walking Berkman to get to Feliz., Pedro Feliz that is.
Hopefully the curse of Keels can be undone this time.

LeCure looks dialed in now. I like his breaking ball/fastball combination if he's throwing that breaking ball for strikes. Definitely looks like he's fooling guys.

Your team putting up eight runs in the first four innings has to be a pitcher's dream first start.
Rolen and Gomes are freaking monsters at the plate.

Ramon Hernandez may get to catch a few games in a row, as it looks like Hanigan has a hurt hand from a going into 2B on a force-out. He really winced when he received a pitch in the 9th. Maybe even Corky Miller may have to come up from Louisville for a while.

there's no reason for him to be called up now...until they make a decision with Harang that is...somethings gotta be done with that guy. I cant stand watching him pitch

Chapman's ready for the MLB, at least he is ready to begin learning up here. However, there's no reason to with their depth and current performance. I mean they have 2 RP's and 2 SP's in Louisville that are probably better suited to help the Reds (LeCure being one of them and he started tonight).chs_redskins wrote: when is a timeline or something for when aroldis chapman going to get called up?

Yeah it appears that Chapman is ready for the big leagues, but there's nowhere to put him. The Reds probably don't want to mess with him a whole lot so they won't put him in the pen. His only chance looks like if they trade away a SP or a few starters get hurt.chs_redskins wrote: when is a timeline or something for when aroldis chapman going to get called up?
