Looking at my retirement account and seeing my target retirement date June 1st, 2045. Maybe the world ends in 2012 and I won't have to worry about that.

Just to makr you feel better, I am 31 and I retire in just over 6 years.

Zwick, my retirement date is almost identical. There is only one thing we can hope for...hitting the lottery.

Well if I wait 35 years at my current company mine will be aroud that same date If I wait until Im 65 years old then it wont be until 2051.

2051 according to my planning thing. i'll be 50 in 2035, i'm not planning on going too far past that. especially since my "Number" according to ING will be reache when I'm about 48 (and I was conservative in estimating the rate of growth on my retirement account).

If I retire before I die I will be doing good. Its too damn depressing to look at anymore.

I was hoping to retire at 55 but due to changes in STRS it looks like I will be retiring 3 months after my 60th birthday, unless I get a buyout then it may be closer to 55.
