...and gets called out by the comedian!

Patton Oswalt has been on a tear lately and searched through MySpace videos to find someone who lifted his material...and now this happens.
I understand his anger...but this makes Patton seem a little crazy.

Big deal...another comedian that wants more exposure because he sucks at life.

Man, I wish my life sucked as bad as his does. Had a role on King of Queens and Reno 911 along with main voice of a movie. :sSociety wrote: Big deal...another comedian that wants more exposure because he sucks at life.

Too bad, I actually like his material. I tend to stray when someone gets really wierd. If wierd is part of your act, then fine, but he seems to be losing it. I accept this behavior from Joe Rogan.

i hardly think the intent was as heinous as oswalt would like you to believe.
i'm kinda with society on this.
he's trying to get publicity for ratatouille 2.

This isn't like that other guy that was actually getting paid to perform and was using oswalt's material. This is a kid graduating from college. Get over it dude.

I think he's lost it. He lost a role in a Broadway show, and then a few weeks later lost the lead role in a pilot for NBC. The dude is teetering on the edge. Scouring MySpace videos to look for people hacking his material is pretty damn crazy. But to call out a valedictorian on his speech is pushing it.brutus161 wrote: Too bad, I actually like his material. I tend to stray when someone gets really wierd. I like Patton's material. And the guy has always been a little weird. But I think he's officially gone over the deep end.

Yeah, it's definitely warranted when another comedian is stealing material, hence why I have a great deal of respect for Rogan after confronting Mencia.
But this kid wasn't trying to profit off it. He's probably just an unfunny guy who wanted to lighten the mood for his speech.

its not that big of a deal, but a kid graduating from college should know better than anyone that you have to cite your sources!

If you actually watch the kid's speech, you'll notice he went out of his way to personalize the story, etc . . . . . to me, it shows an astonishing lack of judgment on the kid's part. Kind of frightening that he's the valedictorian, and going to law school at Berkeley.

Whoa, back from the dead. Where have you been? I haven't seen any posts from you in what seems like months.ICEMAN59 wrote: If you actually watch the kid's speech, you'll notice he went out of his way to personalize the story, etc . . . . . to me, it shows an astonishing lack of judgment on the kid's part.
