This is absolute bullshit. For any further proof that unions are killing this country, look no further. Although the article points out that Obama has "said" there will be no more bailouts, I'm not holding my breathe that this will get knocked down; especially since the unions basically have the Democratic party by the scrotum and will be putting up $100M for the upcoming elections. :@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@

Great, let's all pay for these greedy motherfucker's pensions while non union people will be lucky to retire at all, not to mention the incredible burden on the national debt that is already fallen over the cliff. The gull of this Democrat for even introducing this bill is outrageous, if this country had any balls whatsoever, he'd be voted out the next time his seat is up.Although right now taxpayers could possibly be on the hook for $165 billion, the liability could essentially be unlimited because these pensions have to be paid out until the workers die.

Not to hijack your thread, but this isn't the only bailout potentially in play:
http://liveshots.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/05/24/teachers-seek-23b-lifeline-or-bailout/
We've opened the pandora's box with this sort of thing, and if it continues a lot of folks, including true believers in paying for your own weight and contributing to society are going to feel like suckers and wonder where their bail out is.

Everything that all of these socialists in D.C. have done has been to funnel money to either unions (i.e. GM via seizure) or public sector employees (read, unions) via "stimulus".
When does government get re-organized and restructured? When does the public sector largesse end? When do the REAL cuts at the federal level begin?

The PBGC insures all pensions...not just the unions. In other words, this is not a blue collar situation, but an overall labor situation. Yes back in the day, companies enticed workers by offering great pension plans in addition to good salaries...or pay per hour.
Today companies for the most part don't offer squat when it comes to pensions. The reason? Companies cannot afford pension plans. Just more proof that the US overall standard of living is spiraling down the toilet.

OMG. Can you imagine the panic in DC if the population all agreed that they weren't part of a party and they were actually going to vote for the best candidate?!

Coming from a union member this idea is total bullshit.
I'd also like to point out the complete hypocracy of conservatives for ripping on union workers for " Making too much money". I mean what's more socialist I mean conservative than hating on somebody for making too much money right comrades?

Depends on the union, to the extent the union has their hands in the pockets of the people making decisions on their negotiations (READ, PUBLIC UNIONS AND THE SEIU [emphasis mine]), yeah it is too much money.
Public worker unions have destroyed this country.

Yeah sure Square...when you find the "best candidate", let us know. If you think an R is better than a D, then that ocean front property I got is all yours.SQ_Crazies wrote: OMG. I’m organizing a few fellow Vietnam Vets an ugly group but dedicated to me and the principles this country stands for. This shit has to stop ………….NOW

Not defending the Obama Admin (because it is one of, if not the worst in history), but the Bush Admin was just as bad. Bush signed the very first bailout (stimulus) package. He spent just like Obama spends. They are one in the same, just spending on different things.SQ_Crazies wrote:Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....but, but, but.......GEORGE BUSH!!!Mr. 300 wrote: It is going to take years to undo what this admin is doing to our country here and around the world.

They are not even close to one in the same, though I'm not saying Bush was great.
That, however, is not the point.

Trust me, I'm no fan of how Bush spent, but the comparison between Bush's spending and Obama's is laughable.dwccrew wrote:

When Bush spent say $100 retardedly, Obama would spend $1000 retardedly. Obama is 10x the "spender" that Bush was, and I hated how Bush "spent".
Even though, like I said above, look at who controls congress if you really want a look at the "spenders" since Congress makes that decision.
