I don't care what the powers to be are saying down there in Miami, if I was the manager Hanley would be done. And I don't mean done for a game or 2, I mean done for the year. And I would be trying my hardest to get him off my team. So be it if it costs me my job, that is inexcusable from a professional athlete.

No matter how right or wrong it was, the stars are still the driving force of the team.
I 100% get what Wildcats is saying, and the fact that Hanley showed no remorse is even worse.
I wouldn't suspend him the entire season, but he wouldn't be with the team for about a week.

Take that stand because you are going to be in Atlanta replacing Bobby Cox(rumors say so anyways).wildcats20 wrote: I don't care what the powers to be are saying down there in Miami, if I was the manager Hanley would be done. all I'm saying is there is no place for that shit in professional sports.
And no shit I wouldn't be around for long. I stated that in my first post
And hoops you're right. The worst part about it is that Hanley acted like a spoiled little kid and talked shit about the manager. He even said that was as hard as he could go. If that's the hardest he could go than how the hell did he make a major league team. I've seen 13 year olds go after a ball harder and faster than he did

Mike and Mike were talking about this yesterday morning. Golic basically said that other players should have stepped up and done something about it. That it shouldn't have fallen totally on the manager to say something. I tend to agree with this also.

Wildcat,
I'm with you in the fact that something like that should never happen and become public, but you can't just kick him off your team. He's the whole reason that team even contends half the time as it is, and he's part of the reason they get 10,000 people a night down there instead of 2,000.
It seems like both sides have made up and appear to be moving along. During a 162 game season when you spend that much time together with people, even more time than you see your family, these things are bound to flare up(hell, it happens over a 40 game college schedule). You try to kiss and make up and move along and maintain a healthy level of respect for what each brings to the table and try to refocus on the one common goal you're all trying to achieve
