Took the wifey up to UM Medical Center for a 2nd opinion on her cancer. They're a sarcoma center, and we wanted to know if what we were doing as far as treatment is concerned was on the right track, and get any other suggestions to help battle this rare cancer she has.
Nice facility, and a nice easy drive into campus off 23. Saw some gorgeous older homes coming into town headsing towards campus, and the folks were very helpful!!
I do have one thing to say........the old saying about Michigan women is so true!!! U G L Y you ain't got no alibi you're ugly!!

Did you use GPS to get there or just go north till you smelled it, and west till you stepped in it?

Actually, 23 had some construction at the exit to use for the Med Center, so I printed off directions from their website to get around the closures!!
Did use the GPS on our way home. Had to travel to Smithville to see our son play ball, and the Turnpike had a 5 mile backup at mile marker 132 eastbound. Decided to exit at 250 and head in with the help of GPS. Glad I did...got to see Jr launch a 3 run jack!!!

WOW, I think this is the first I have heard about your wife, Mr.300.
She and your family are in my prayers.
On a side note, I went to the Michigan nascar race a few years ago, the one that got rain delayed till tuesday. We (the wife and I) stayed till then. We had to find a hotel close to the campus. Very nice area indeed.

Hope everything works out for you and your wife. Sometimes we have to swallow our pride. I take my daughter up there. They have great doctors up there. She is in great hands. My daughter constantly lets them doctors up there know what she thinks of their football team though. Everytime I take her I am sure to wear some Buckeye attire.

If you can't find any hot chicks in Ann Arbor, you are looking in the wrong places.

Good to hear it went well, Mr. 300!
And, having spent two years living in Ann Arbor, i can testify to the fact that you've just got to look in the right places for all the good looking girls.
Not to mention classes are out, so most of the students are gone.

...prayers to you and your wife Mr.300. We're battling the cancer thing in my family as well (mother-in-law), so I can understand a lot of what's happening in your life.

Mr. 300, I wish your wife the very best on her road to recovery. Curious: I noticed you mentioned a 2nd opinion, was your first visit to the OSU James Cancer Center (which I hear is tremendous)?

Yes, and we will continue to have all doctoring, treatments, and or surgeries at OSU/The James. She has an extremely rare (4 in 1,000,000) cancer, and UM is listed as a sarcoma center, while OSU is not. She simply wanted to create a relationship with them for any options and a 2nd opinion on what currently is being done.BigAppleBuckeye wrote: Mr. 300, I wish your wife the very best on her road to recovery. Oddly enough, most OSU fans have never been to AA because they think the people there are just the the ones in Cbus. That is not the case at all. Most of the people in AA are very friendly, I have been to both city's and OSU fans are very rude when it comes to THE GAME. UM fans are simply not like that and anyone who says different should take a trip to AA.
