google will find the deals as good as anything.
just got back from fortwalton beach. very nice. i'd recommend it if the drive isn't too much for you.

carribean???? I LOVED Barbados. If possible, that's the1st place I'd consider. St. Thomas after that, the list goes on...

Destin Florida is really nice. Easy drive too from Ohio.

I've never researched a vacation in my life. My family owns a lake-front cottage on Put-in-Bay so there's never been much discussion as to our summer vacation destination.
That being said, Bing is probably not a bad place to start (probably better than Google for something like this). If you want to stay close and save a few bucks, check out Breakers at Cedar Point. Half-mile of sandy bathing beach and America's Roller Coast.

i looked at travel zoo for a sec looks pretty legit...im just wary of signing up for a vacation w random travel agencies, internet anything for that matter. dont want to get somewhere and be in a dirty ass hotel or get stranded w no flight home etc..

Check out the sites like Hotwire and Priceline. My fiancee found a deal on one of those sites for our honeymoon. We had checked with an AAA Travel Agent, and for the exact same resort with the same flights it was about $500 cheaper through one of those sites.

I bet Louisiana has a few beaches that are dirt cheap right now... Right on the ocean, just can't use it.

go to Vero Beach, if you can afford it. Apparently the 8th richest city in the United States, or so we were told while we were down there in Spring Break

Try Kayak.com. It compares the deals from all the travel sites (Hotwire, Priceline, expedia, etc).
