As a follow-up to my previous question....................where is the best place to buy running shoes?
I have tried various stores. Finishline is good, Dick's is ok. I absolutely find the best deals at DSW. It may be older models of my favorite shoe, but, the price can be as much as 1/2 off. I can get the Trance 8 at DSW for $79.95 when normal retail is $129.99.
Online I have used Overstock, Amazon, Finishline, Eastbay, and Holabirdsports for pretty decent deals.

I like shopping at locally owned shoe stores. I bought my Saucony Pro Grid's at the Big Orange Shoe Shop, in West Liberty. Before getting the Saucony's, I bought a pair of Mizuno Alchemy's from Front Runner in Columbus.
One thing I really like about Front Runner, you leave the store knowing you bought the right pair of shoes. They take their time, making sure the shoe fits right.
I wore an old pair of running shoes into Front Runner, the sales lady noticed how I lace my shoes. She changed the laces without me asking or having to do it myself. No other shoe store (I've ever been to) gives as great of service as Front Runner.

Said, I also like to go to a local running shop. Unfortunately, the closest store with the kind of service you are talking about is 60 miles away. That store is Second Sole of Canton. When I am in C-bus, I like to go to the RoadRunnerSports warehouse in Westerville. They analyze your gait with video and computer analysis and recommend a shoe.

I know what you mean by long trips to the good running store. I'm fortunate to have Big Orange in West Liberty which is only about 20 minutes away.
I'm in Columbus a lot, so I'll swing by Front Runner occasionally.

We really like the Columbus Running Company. They now have 3 locations in the Columbus area. Great guys that love the sport!
Also, Front Runner does a great job - they are near OSU.
I have had a lot of luck at the FinishLine in the local mall. They have a very limited selection but if you sign up for their rewards program they will send you 20% discount cards or 20% off cards every other month. The price break keeps me coming back.

I am looking also a place where I can buy running shoes. I will try all the details and the places that you said. I hope I can find the best running shoes that I can wear.
