Heroes got the ax in the middle of a bunch of story lines, and will not receive a finale to explain what was going on. This show was good for the first season, but I stopped watching 4 eps into season 2 because it was too stupid.
Scrubs was just straight up awful this year with the new setting, and without Braff. The season shouldn't tarnish Scrubs' amazing legacy because nobody watched this season.
FlashForward started well, but fell victim to too many plotlines and absolutely awful acting, especially from the main character. I actually watched this show, but don't mind this too much. They will be wrapping up their story for the rest of the season.
V was picked up for another season.
I think Better Off Ted was also cancelled.

Good to see V got picked up. I like it and it has potential, like potential to be really, really good.
I wish I had your foresight on Heroes. For some dumb reason I've continued to watch and always ask myself why. Still have the last two shows on DVR and sounds like if I watch I'll only be left hanging.

It's sad to see Scrubs go. But at the same time I was one of those that didn't watch the latest season, not by choice so I don't know how bad it was. I knew the end was near after Braff announced his departure though. I'm sure that's why you saw a lot of the Scrubs' cast jumping to other shows.

I won't be losing any sleep over Scrubs getting canned, just didn't like the show. I didn't like how it tried to be witty and funny all episode then end with some serious "life lesson".

I liked Scrubs, but felt it ran its course.
Flash Forward was just not very good. I couldn't get into it.
Heroes seemed stupid to me.
HAven't watch V, maybe I will check it out.

Flashforward seemed to be picking up a faster pace for the story line the last few weeks. i actually enjoyed the show, but it didnt really have potential to be long running series because of the plot.

Very glad to see V got picked up. Love that show.
Flashforward wore out on me after the 3rd episode, never really watched it again.
Heroes is a weird one for me. I loved the 1st season, the 2nd season was terrible, the 3rd season was half garbage-half good and the 4th season really started to pick up again in a good way.
I have heard from some sites that NBC is planning a 2 or 4 hour special (either 1 or 2 nights I guess) to close Heroes out the right way for the fans.

I'm with LTrain on Heroes.
1st season was great.
2nd season sucked.
3rd season was "good".
4th season started to be great again.
Sucks its over just in the middle of some story lines.

Scrubs should have ended after the finale last year...that was a perfect way to end it.

Man this sucks I really liked Flash Forward. Its gotten a lot better these past few weeks but I had a feeling this might be its last season.
derek I agree about Scrubs this year has been terrible and the finale last year was awesome.
I've never watched Heroes so I can't comment on that show.
Glad to see V will still be around this has been a good show so far.

Crazy that Heroes tanked so badly after the first season.
Bought the first season on DVD a while back, absolutely loved it, but really haven't liked any of the later stuff.

Does anyone have a link to all of this?
I'm bummed that Heroes is being canned but I'm not very surprised. I hope that they do give the fans some sort of final episode to close out the series. I hate it when shows like this that have been on a few years get canceled because you never really get closure. A few final episodes or a final "movie" would be nice.
I agree that Season 1 was the best, Season 2 wasn't very good (it was also a lot shorter), I thought Season 3 started out slow but became excellent by the end, and I honestly thought this last season was horrible. I felt like Season 4 didn't have a big enough conflict. I felt like the plot moved too slowly, it as never clear exactly what Samuel was going to do so he wasn't a hated villain, Sylar became too nice, and the resolution to the season (Hero moving everyone) was too predictable and happened too quickly. It simply wasn't a dramatic enough conclusion. I also felt like they moved away from some of their best characters (Suresh and Nathan). Also, it seemed like there were too many story lines that never really developed. Who really is Gretchen and what is going on with her and Claire? What about Noah and the other chick? Why was Hero unable to control his power, but then he could move hundreds of people when he needed too? What's going on with Sylar? Is he becoming a good guy or his he still bad? It just seemed to me that the main story line wasn't as strong and that the conflict just didn't seem that impending. All that being said, I still hope we get something to tie up all of the loose ends.
It is amazing how quickly this show tanked after the first season. This was supposed to be NBC's Lost. With Lost they had story lines well thought out for 5-6 seasons worth of shows before they actually began writing the script. I feel like that wasn't the case. Like they knew what the first season would be but had little direction after that.

The only interesting character in Heroes was Sylar. I tend to be one of those who will continue watching a show almost without fault, and this season had become almost unwatchable. C;mon, carnies as a major story line?
I think the writers fell in love with their ability to just bring back characters for some BS reason and it just became pathetic. It was a cool trick the first time they did it After the 10th it had grown beyond tiresome. And then rather than developing and giving you more of key stories, they waste all kinds of time bringing in red shirts for pointless subplots.

Have to agree with the majority here: Used to LOVE Heroes, but I stopped watching 2 seasons ago, just completely lost interest. I was quasi-interested in FlashForward, but I admit I have fallen behind this season and haven't tried too hard to catch up on Hulu.
However, V rocks ... LOVE that show, so pleased to hear its sticking around!

I watched FlashForward in the fall but lost interest over the long break and didn't watch the spring shows.
V did the same thing but I'm trying to hang in with it. I just hate when networks do that with shows...the long winter break. I wish they'd do what Lost and 24 do...just start later and go one continuous run.

FlashForward pissed me off. I thought it couldve been so much better, and they just basically failed.

Southland is pretty good. I think TBS (or is it TNT) picked up another season.
