You guys should check out the song he did with Slash recently from his album called "Crucify the Dead" if your and Ozzy fan and haven't heard it.

It is the best I had heard him sound vocally in years, had more of a classic Sabbath tone to his vocals.

It was going to be the first single off Slash's album, but Ozzy's label apparently put the kabosh on it because it would have been released to close in proximity to Ozzy's record coming out.

For my money it sounds like a much better song than Ozzy's first single, but I can why his label said no go from their standpoint.

I like the song, but at the same time I like Ozzy's music so I'm sure I have more bias than most.

Ozzy needs to go back to snorting coke, urine, & ants up his nose. His music was a lot better back in them days.

Is it just me or does everything that Ozzy puts out anymore sound like the same song over and over?

Ozzy should have fired Zakk Wylde years ago atleast this album will have a fresher sound to it.

Ozzy & Sabbath are in my top 5 all-time favs but his shit all sounds the same anymore. Not a fan of Wylde either.

I'd say that it's definitely better than stuff he's done recently. I'd also say that the overall sound makes me interested in listening to more off this album.

I wouldn't say the "old Ozzy" is back, though. I got this sense of a "the label says I have to make a sing-along radio single" vibe off this song. It was basically a much better alternate to that ghastly "Never Gonna Stop" atrocity off the last album. In that I kinda liked the song, but don't look at it as nearly being memorable.

I thought the song was pretty good, however I'm still waiting for the whole album before I make any decisions.

It's interesting what everyone is saying about Zakk...seeing as how Zakk wrote everything for the new album and Gus G. only PLAYED on the new album. He didn't write shit for it. Plus, I also find it interesting that people say "ozzy is back!" like he sounds better now. I hope you realize what they do to Ozzy's voice in the studio. Your 4 year old niece could go in the studio and fart in a mic and they can make it sound like Ozzy sang it. Just sayin.

The playing alone makes it superior to anything Zakk has done for Ozzy since no more tears. Gus G is a true guitar player where as Zakk Mylde can seemingly do nothing aside from pinch harmonics. I cannot describe how incredibly sick I was of hearing pinch harmonic's and every ozzy song sounding like a reject from the last black label society album.

As far as his voice, the man is 61 and has done more drugs than any living human has a right to expect to survive from. Cut the man some slack he came out with a rocking tune and his voice sounds stronger than it has been.
