This has been getting a lot of air time on the sport talk shows the past couple days. Do they have the same rule in cross country?

I don't believe that a majority of the officials like having to enforce these silly rules. Get together. Change the rules.

Yes, rule applies in CC, also.said_aouita wrote: This has been getting a lot of air time on the sport talk shows the past couple days. Do they have the same rule in cross country?
They don't like it, but they will enforce what's on the books. I don't see it being changed because this rule is the same for all HS sports. Plus, it's a national rule, not just at the state level.givetallugot wrote: I don't believe that a majority of the officials like having to enforce these silly rules. Get together. Change the rules.

I'm with ccrunner on this one. Simple things to repeat. No jewelry, don't run on the inside line, make sure the baton is in the zone, undergarment rules, headband, hats, etc, rules, logo limitations, and we're ready to rumble.

I didn't hear of anybody getting disqualified for jewelry or uniform violations. I believe there were a couple for the usual things: exchange zone violations and false starts.
