Planning on taking my wife to NYC for a long weekend and am looking for hotel recommendations as well as things to see and do and places to eat while in NYC.

Not sure where to stay since I just crashed at my buddy's when I was there.
But I said it on a previous thread, and I'll say it again because it bears repeating...
Crocodile Lounge has the BEST drink special EVER! For EVERY beer you order...they give you a free pizza. Not a slice...a whole pizza!
East 14th St...between 1st Ave and 2nd Ave. You will NOT be disappointed.

I stayed at Hotel Mela, pretty nice place, right by Times Square.

I try to combine one trip to the home office in CT each year with a stay in NYC with Lady D'Friskies. We've really enjoyed the Iroquois Hotel just north of Times Square.

Hotel Edison is great
right off times sq
I also like the Travel Inn
As soon as you get through the Lincoln Tunnel it's on the left (free parking)

I stayed at the hotel edison as well. it really is 30 seconds off of times square, and it has a great classic hotel feel.
