Pretty good column. Thought some of you might want to check it out.
Two things keep getting referenced in the column... "why the F is Shaq playing so much" and "What on earth is Mike Brown doing".
Simmons actually makes a good point, the Cavs torched the Celtics earlier this year by going athletic (Hickson, Varejao) but Brown keeps throwing Z and Shaq out there.... Oh well. Just read the column for yourself

For a huge Celtics fan, Simmons is spot on.

From the artcile. Maybe mr. pompous ass Square Crazies will read it understand it, internalize it...and then apologize for being so ignorant...
"8:20: Shaq whips a line drive against the backboard. Rebound, Garnett. On behalf of all Celtics fans, I'd like to thank Brown for playing Shaq 112 minutes in the first five games -- he slows the Cavs down, clogs the middle for LeBron, stifles their movement offensively and gives the older Celtics an improbable speed advantage. It's fantastic. Not counting the last four games of the regular season (when LeBron didn't play), Cleveland went 21-4 when Shaq didn't play. But seriously, keep playing him!"
Nuff said. Shaq ONeal ruined this team.

He makes the point that I really, really agree with and that is losing in the 2nd round gives him a free pass out of Cleveland. No one will ever blame him for it. A loss in The Finals and Cleveland and Dan Gilbert have him by the balls, he will look like a coward if he leaves with getting so close and never being able to beat Kobe.
Thursday night is going to flat out decide how many of us will be Cavs fans in the next 5 years or so. A loss Thursday and this franchise take a serious, serious hit. We might as well put the blue back on the seats and switch back from the wine and gold to blue and orange.

Shaq, Jamison, and Mo have ruined our team defense, that is for sure. Throwing the ball to Shaq on the block is a waste of time. I do appreciate that he and Z were the only ones playing hard last night, but the Cavs are a better team without Shaq on the floor.

Z's a nice guy and he has definitely been a consummate professional, but that doesn't mean he should play. At this point he is a mop up guy. Shaq is getting dangerously close to that level too. Shaq scores on offense, but he can't play help defense when somebody gets burnt, can't cover athletic bigs 15 feet away, and the ball dies in his hands offensively.
