Sam Houston St. is currently 11-of-19 from beyond the arc, with a minute left in the first half.
They are sticking in there with the Cats, down 48-39. UK will undoubtedly win, and probably big, but unbelievable first half shooting display for Sam Houston.

Sam Houston got another one. This Almond kid for SHS is 8 for 11 from triple time at the half! Wow.
State has 12 team threes at the half, with 36 of its 42 points in the game's first 20 minutes coming from beyond the deep semi-circle.
Half-time score: Kentucky 53 Sam Houston St. 42.

As I suspected Kentucky is pulling away big, now up 63-47. But Sam Houston State continues to drill the threes, and now has 14 for the contest, with over 15 minutes remaining.
The Rupp Arena record was set on Monday night when Miami of Ohio hit 15. Redhawk Nick Winbush (who, by the way, played AAU ball with my cousin; random factoid) tied the individual Rupp record for triples with 8 for the game. Corey Almond tied that in half number one for SHS tonight.
Great game for shooting enthusiasts. UK hasn't been shooting bad either.

Almond has broke the Rupp Arena record for threes in a game with nine (9). Pretty solid.\
Meanwhile, SHS as a team continues to shoot triples on five-on-one fast breaks.
Kentcuky up 73-57.
Bledsoe has some jumps on him. Damn.

I take that back, all of the records SHS has achieved tonight are for OPPONENTS only.
Kentucky owns the overall gym record for threes in a game with 20, which they hit during the Pitino Bombino days.
Sorry for the mixup everyone. Lol.

Almond has 10 triples now, for the record. SHS as a team has 17.

Kentucky wins this high-scoring, three-point shooting fest, 102-92.

I would have loved to see S.H.S. win this one.

It was a hell of a game if you like watching shooters, which I do. I love these types of games.
You'd be hard pressed to find three minutes worth of defense in the game, but hey I won't argue. As long as it's not Duke I'm watching, I don't need to see much defense. My style is more Loyola Marymount or early '90s Oklahoma or US International.

Incredible offensive performance for both teams. Since you've already mentioned Sam Houston's stats here's the top five for Kentucky:
DeMarcus Cousins: 27 pts, 18 reb.
Patrick Patterson: 20 pts, 9 reb.
John Wall: 21 pts, 6 ast., 4 reb.
Eric Bledsoe: 19 pts, 6 asts.
Darius Miller: 15 pts
When you're lowest scoring starter has 15 points, you're not gonna lose many games. The turnovers are gonna kill 'em though. Twenty-two of them tonight.
