I don't want to start a huge rant but Im just going to pick out my favorite parts and speak my mind a little bit about them.
All the broadcasters and journalists shouting about the beauty and heroics and miracle of Donovan’s put-back were ready to shout something totally different had Algeria’s keeper controlled Clint Dempsey’s shot.You can argue that is the magic of sports. You can turn from goat to hero in a matter of seconds.
Of course its the magic of sports moron or else broadcasters and journalists shouldn't ever get excited about any play because you could always say "well if this happened then it wouldn't matter"

Really everyone is invited to the Olympics Im pretty sure there are trails and qualifiers for the fucking Olympics just like the World Cup. Its just the Olympics has many events and many spots per events.

Yeah, let the pundits tell it and Donovan’s goal to beat Algeria belongs next to the Miracle on Ice, Joe Louis’ victory over Max Schmeling, Jesse Owens’ 1936 Olympics, Joe Namath’s Super Bowl victory, etc.
Are you serious sure the 2 of the first 3 are obviously way better but Joe Namath's SB victory are you serious? What was really so great about that sure back then people didn't come out and say "I guarantee we will win" but its also not like he had some amazing game either. He could have put so other events that could be argued that are better than Donovan's goal but to even mention Namath's SB victory with Owens or Miracle on Ice is even worse than putting Donovan's goal up there with them.
