I just heard on the Yankees-Sox telecast that the Red Sox are supposedly planning to release David Ortiz in the near future.

Actually what they said was that the option of releasing him was an option they have and a route they might go. They didn't say it was going to happen. I hate Boston so I hope they keep him and he continues to suck.
