......how is beyond me but Jamie Moyer just threw a 9 inning shutout giving up just 2 hits (both to Troy Glaus)

He only faced 28 batters...no walks and got Matt Diaz to hit into DP after a Glaus single

He'll be 48 in Nov

Moyer has tossed two other two-hitters in his 23-year career. His first came at Montreal on Aug. 16, 1986, while he was with the Chicago Cubs.
That is bad ass right there.

This just in...Braves are HORRIBLE. Could have very easily been no hit twice already this season.

He's one of those bionic dudes who fits into that "he doesn't get older...he gets smarter" sort of role. The thing that amazes me is that when he was younger, he was this journeyman nobody sort of pitcher...an okay #4 starter or so. But as he's aged, he's gotten better and better. Last year, he looked like he might finally be winding down, as he got demoted to the bullpen...but he's apparently found new life. My kudos to the dude.

Dude's been in the majors longer than I've been alive.

Same.

He's taking the Greg Maddux approach: nothing close to overpowering, but keep hitting those locations and major league hitters will have a tough time making great contact on the ball if you're pounding corners, turning line drive base hits into easily playable ground balls.

Perfect example of how to keep batters off balance.

Moyer is a pitcher, not just a thrower.

He's a good pitcher who just dumbfounds and frustrates hitters to death. I love watching him pitch

Has more wins is his 40's than he did in his 20's I think.

Exactly....in a couple of years he can shut out the Pirates or Reds and then whip out his AARP card for 10% off club house beer after the game.
