Back to TPC Sawgrass and the famous 17th hole this weekend. Will be interesting to see if Tiger bounces back from that atrocious outing at Quail Hollow, or if that was the beginning of a trend.
He's E through 6 on today's round.

What an aptly named tournament for Tiger to win: "The Player's Championship." The irony would just be too great.

^^ lol. Boo hoo, Tiger was mad that he played badly on Sunday and didn't win the masters. When I lost in any sport I played in HS, I would have sounded similar in interviews. Competitive nature doesn't change. Plus he already didn't like Kostas (Peter Kostas is the one that kept saying that Tiger wasn't winning because he was using inferior equipment).
People were complaining that he wasn't praising Phil in the interview. But Phil was still playing.
Back to the action:
Tiger rolling along at -2 with two par 5 birdies, and just lipped out for birdie on 13. But the story on the course is Allenby right now, who is sitting at -7.
This is one of the lowest scoring rounds in Players Championship history. I think it definitely has to do with the fact that there is no wind to speak of right now.

Holmes and Allenby both sit at -6 atop the leader board.
Tiger hooks his tee shot on 18 into the water and is going to struggle to make bogey probably.

Tiger has never had a bogey free round at the Players, and almost did, until 18. Anyone see Miller's comments about Tiger needing to dump Harmon? I totally agree with this, he hasn't been nearly as dominant since he went with him.

Under Harmon, Woods won 27.0 percent of his starts and finished in the Top 10 63.1 percent of the time.
Under Haney, Woods has won 34.4 percent of his starts and finished in the Top 10 71.1 percent of the time
Though he doesn't win by the epically giant margins that he used to.

In 2007, THE PLAYERS Stadium Course underwent a 14-month renovation that saw a new 77,000 square-foot clubhouse combined with major improvements to the course. Over 2.6 million square feet of new grass was installed, along with 53 million pounds of sand and 22 miles of underground piping.

Nothing like quiting when you're getting your ass whipped. He's claiming a neck injury. Maybe Elin whacked him with a driver this time.

Mother's Day should be called MILF's Day around that place. I've never seen so many tan & fit women of all ages in my life. All walking around in sundresses and tank tops, shorts, what a perfect day of weather. Lots of shade, plenty of room. Not long after we get there we watch Tiger tee off #6. My friend said 'Wow he winced bad or he was really concentrating hard when he swung.' I had no clue, first time I've ever seen him play. So we go to the hospitality tent overlooking #9 and pretty soon here comes Bohn by himself. Wow, that stirred a buzz of talk around the tent. Tiger withdrew. We walked around, found shade, watched from 17 tee, and behind 17 green, hosp. tent overlooked the water and 18th fairway too. Awesome day at Sawgrass.
