What a joke! They said he was creating a unauthorized distraction... Seriously? So you allow those dumb thunder sticks?

They had to fine him since they fine Cuban for similar actions, although, I don't see a problem with it.

Pretty sure players on the bench cant yell at someone to distract them while shooting a corner three. I don't think this is any different. Had to fine him now, Mark Cuban would have done it every game.osu45804 wrote: http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nba/news/story?id=5167992

considering the game was an absolute trouncing, it's dumb. down to the wire, with the game on the line, i'd do the same thing.

It's beneath the role of any team executive, let alone the GM, he's held to a higher standard.

It's not a big deal, but Stern made the right call. Stop this bush league garbage before the next idiot executive (see Mark Cuban) takes it to the next level.

It's not a big issue, I don't care if he does it or not--but he isn't and shouldn't be held to the same standard as the fans. Their job is to create a home court advantage and cheer on their team. I like the fine, just because I agree that a GM should be above this.

Because if he did, each individual technical foul would be a 3-10 game suspension.

^^^Hahaha.
I'm old school. I rue the death of sportsmanship. The fact that a GM would engage in this kind of stuff, and that some apparently actually think there is nothing wrong shows how out of touch I am
Why do we bother to emphasize to our kids?...or maybe we don't even do that anymore.

I used to have a lot of respect for Ainge both as a player back in the day, and as a front office. Amazing how one little bush league stunt like this can change things. Now he just like every other immature jack off.
