I'm hearing the "victim" was a 15 year old. YIKES! I'd say that calls for an arrest.

One was charged, one wasn't...seems pretty logical to me.
Anyways, just another scum bag. This is why I never understood people thinking athletes should be role models. Just because kids look up to them because they're great athletes doesn't mean they're great people--not sure why anyone expects great physical ability to equate to good morals.

Exactly! Which is why I said lets see what develops. It's too early for me to say anything on this. If they didn't have probable cause to arrest Ben after a 4-5 week investigation, what makes you think they had probably cause the night of the incident? Initially she didn't even accuse him of rape and the rape kit was negative. Cops initial insticts there were correct from the start.
By the way, Kobe wasn't arrested on the spot either. He was allowed to return to LA and an arrest warrant was issued a few days later.

This is different because the girl was 15. If he had sex with her, he's guilty. Hard to charge him unless they knew for certain he did indeed have sex with her, and in that case, he's guilty as charged.

From what I heard, the girl was a runaway, he paid $300 bucks for it, and was sober. Nice job LT
