Thats definately not what MMA is. If you think that then you have no knowledge of the sport.

I've watched it time and time again, have never gotten excited over a single moment of it. Its like watching a bad streetfight, except the guys are mostly naked save for tiny little tight shorts. Boxing isn't much better, but at least it has some history and prestige. Oh and I don't feel gay for watching boxing cuz at least their shorts are baggy.

I have to agree at times it looks like a streetfight becuase the guys are so wild with their punches. Boxing does have the history edge, but is starting to lose its prestige bucasue of greedy promoters and top fighters not fighting eachother (cough Manny Pacquio/Floyd Mayweather cough)

Troll much?

I prefer boxing.

samuel adams:
Pac/Mayweather will happen in the fall as long as Pac doesn't win his upcoming political election.
If they fought on the original date the promoters only had ONE big fight. By coming up with a bullshit drug testing issue they put it off and have now made money off of TWO big fights and have all summer to promote another one in the fall.

MMA

I was a wrestler so I can appreciate the grappling/wrestling aspect of it.

Boxing lately hasn't been having the huge must see match ups very often. MMA has a title nearly every time there is a decent promotion on (mostly UFC but some smaller ones have done well).

Anyone that thinks that it's just street fighting or that the athletes aren't highly skilled is an idiot.

MMA by far.

Boxing is NO WHERE near what it USED to be. Even if PBF vs PacMan happens, what's after that?

MMA has become the marquee fighting sport. The events, for the most part, usually all have 1 and sometimes 2 or 3 headliners. The talent is there, the excitement is there, and most importantly, the growth is there.

Not completely true.

Which big fights in MMA don't get made. Fedor vs Lesnar isn't made cause they aren't in the same organization. Believe me if both of them were in the UFC they would fought already.

The only Boxing match the world wants to see is Floyd vs Pac & I would hold my breath waiting for that one anytime soon.

MMA: No way you can sit on top of a guy and pound him for 4-5 minutes and he doesn't get knocked out

Boxing:

I rest my case

Boxing. MMA has ruined the image of the true Ultimate Fighting Championship and other competitions held around the world. You want to see REAL MMA, watch UFC 1.
