I don't have to read the article, because I'm sure he has a Phd in Physics!

Great story of a knucklehead turned into a great person and a model for the Westerville community.

His wife and her family are great people.

Glad to hear he is doing well! He was by far my favorite Buckeye growing up.

I know his wife and brother in law and have met him on a few occasions and he has always seemed like a really nice and genuine guy. I wish him a lot of success!

Coached me in football while at Westerville South. Great great person and I can't praise him enough.

I used to write for the Lantern, and the night before Katzenmoyer announced he was going pro, I saw him at Paninis on High Street. I was pretty ripped, and the alcohol in my system gave me aspirations of breaking the story first to ESPN hahaha. So I kept bugging him to give me the scoop, but the dude wouldn't budge haha

I would like you to elaborate on this?

I don't know Katzenmoyer personally, nor have I ever met him so i'm asking as a serious question as to why you say he used to be a "knucklehead". My guess is you're referring to his off the field issues in college?

As always I have to agree. Never played football at South and he wasn't there when I was; but from everything I heard he has been a GREAT addition to the program.

He was always nice to anyone on campus at Otterbein who just wanted to bullshit about football, no matter how much they knew or not.

Glad to hear he is doing well. In that first picture though, he does look like the stereotypical "dumb jock". LOL

Yes I am mostly referring to those incidents. Just a knucklehead in the way that many college kids and athletes are. He was so into being a football player that he lost track of other things like putting effort into classes and not driving drunk. It is hard to blame a 19 year old kid caught up in the moment, but I still consider it being a knucklehead. I have been there.

The thing is that many of these knuckleheads never grow out of it (countless examples). With the help of his family, wife, and Coach Pintello, Katzenmoyer found direction and is now a valued member of his community.

All I have to say about him is I sincerely hope no one on here has the tattoos he has around his arms.

People made fun of him for taking golf, but hell I would have too.

That sounds awesome. I'd sign up for that class without hesitation.
