It looks like it's placed throughout the cold war. Speculation is that we'll visit places like South America, Vietnam, the artic, etc. I have doubts about it considering the fiasco that's going on over at Infinity Ward (the people who make the good COD games).
In the meantime I'm going to go play some of the Halo: Reach beta before it opens up publicly on the 3rd and gets crowded with people yelling at me and t-bagging me.

COD hasn't been good since COD4.
Regardless of who the developer is.
But I didn't think Infinity Ward was making this COD? Usually they switch every other one with Treyarch?
Treyarch made World at War and some of the more terrible COD games.. Infinity Ward has been responsible for the better ones.

Infinity ward was part of activision. Treyarch made world at war.

I like MW2 but wasn't as fun(online) as compared to ,MW1. It was just the same, updated... Got old, very fast.
One good thing is that activision(publisher) of MW games. Activision & Bungie signed a 10 year deal which allows activision to publish bungie games on multiplatforms...Could see halo or halo like game on xbox & ps3. http://www.pcworld.com/article/195377/bungie_teams_with_activision_whats_next_for_halo.html

Can't stand Bad Company. The playability of it is horrid. However, if the Bad Company format of battles was minced with MW2 graphics and playability, it'd be perfect.

one of my favorite games of all time was Battlefield Vietnam. Would love to see a game like that come out again.

I actually liked World at War, a lot. I completely agree that MW2 got old quickly. I played it solid for a month and haven't touched it since. I do however still play Nazi Zombies with the newest map. That hasn't gotten old yet. Modern Warfare 1 was the greatest game ever, MW2 was awesome and all and loved with what they did online, but it became the same thing over and over with each map. I think they could include vehicles, it only makes sense.

does anybody actually play the story mode? ive mw2 for 6 months and even tried story mode because the online game play is awesome. world at war was terrible with the crappy weapons. loved halo 2 & 3 but with odst they really didnt change anyhting.

I hate online game play on any game,which sucks because the good story line games are going to the wayside in lieu of deathmatch.

i wont spend 60 bucks for just a storyline game. with the online play its a game that keeps on giving. the new map pack for mw2 was crappy however.

BEcause 99% of the people who buy games like this, Halo, ect buy it for online play.
