While the Killers are on a hiatus after 6+ years of constant touring and the release of 3 albums, lead singer Brandon Flowers has decided to release a solo album titled Flamingo (reference to a Vegas Club). The band is adamant that they are not breaking up, but just want to do their own things for a little while. Heck, the new clip is even on the killers website, so they obviously support him in this effort.

For those that like the Killers like I do, this should be interesting, and Flowers has always said that a solo work by him would be very experimental. I am a big fan of chill music, and this clip sounds perfect.

It will likely be a bit slower and more mellow, his mom died of brain cancer about 2 months ago, and I think that experience was what prompted the writing of this album--sort of a therapeutic escape.
