Wonder why he didn't have surgery a long time ago? Even if he wasn't going to come back. I can't imagine that ankle is going to feel good here in about 10 yrs

Here we go again! Will he come back or retire? Before this story it was likely he would play. Now with this surgery, its back to 50/50.

I don't blame him. If I were his age I would have to think long and hard about the surgery

Remember last year when he had to have surgery on his throwing shoulder just to play, and even then it was reported just before the season started he still had a tear in his rotator cuff. Everyone thought he was nuts, and he still went out there and had the best season of his career and can still throw a ball through the wall in terms of arm strength.

This ankle will provide him a viable excuse to get out of training camp, and we will repeat last years process because this team is too good for Favre to just willingly walk away over an injury like this.
