Mine is coming up in a few weeks. Does anyone DESPISE their birthday? Seriously. To me, my birthday is the worst day of the year. I hate the (fake) attention that I get, and I never want a day to be over more than my birthday. Every year on my birthday, I feel like an emo kid.

Anyone else feel this way? Honestly.

I've been flying the last 3 years on my birthday.

This year I plan on being home, but might be offshore.

I hate my birthday. I don't like getting older, and I don't like every mother fucker feeling the need to make a big deal out of it.

I think most women care more about their birthday. Most women are attention whores(or gold diggers). The only reason I like it, is because I get paper from my family and you can take that to the bank.

Growing up..I HATED my birthday. My sisters birthday is on the same day. That sucked when I was a kid b/c I never got as much since they had to buy for two! Now, its just another day.

I never cared too much for my birthday. Much like GoChiefs, my birthday sucked because (not because somebody else in my family shared it, but...) it was exactly 2 weeks before Christmas. I never felt like I was getting the full amount of what I should have haha!

Now that I'm older, I have made it a point that I've had the same birthday for the past 3 years.
Grow old gracefully? Nevah!

Not a big deal to me. I think I got turned off to celebrating my birthday as a kid when my parents had the wait staff at Chi-Chi's sing to me while I was forced to wear a sombrero

I think you need to learn to deal with this as opposed to the alternative...

I love this birthday coming up (21). The rest, don't really care at all. I'll invite people out and not even bring up the reason why.

Shitty part was, we were born 5 years apart! And on the same fucking day! How the hell does that happen!?!?! Parents must have marked that shit down on a calendar or something! Mom says on my 5th birthday..she told me I was getting a baby sister for my birthday. She said I just starting screaming "No mommy! I don't want a sister for my birthday! PUT HER BACK IN UNTIL TOMORROW!" HAHA

I've always taken more pride in sharing my birthday with the Burr-Hamilton duel or John Quincy Adams' birthday than anything related to me. I don't necessarily object to being reminded I'm getting older except my wife's family has this make believe 2nd verse to the birthday song which is essentially a religious version of the song to the same melody. I have said many times that our children will not be subjected to the second verse. I don't think she thinks I'm serious. I am. The first time my inlaws try singing that fucking thing I'm going to lose my mind.

may the dear lord bless you...may the dear lord bless you...may the dear lord bless (person) ...may the dear lord bless you.

My wife thought this was normal and readily practiced in other places/families until she was 15 when we started dating and at the first family birthday I went to, I looked at her with a clear 'what the fuck is this?' expression.
