I like Ankrom from BC. Sweeeeet! He, along with some TV Vikings and a Ranger, were up at our open mats this summer. I look forward to seeing how they fare this season.

I know Circleville has more than a few tough kids, but I don't know any names off hand.

Anybody know if Dilley will be able to wrestle for the Aces??? I heard he was injured in football.

Any other names out there???

Bellomy (CW) = Chuck Norris' protege'!

I have heard that Dilly will be back before sectionals.. I think AC will be pretty tough this year.

That would be great if Mr. Dilley can get back some time during the season...

What are the numbers like at Bloom-Carroll? Last year they had some great kids, but the numbers weren't there. How many 9th graders/others did they add to the mix?

I'm suprised teays valley fans haven't come on this and light it up, they must not know about this site yet...I think they are kind of slow

Or maybe they aren't ignorant and calling other teams out like someone always seems to do to teays on these threads

My predictions for MSL:

103: Smoot(TV)
112:McGath(HT)
119:Ankrom (BC)
125:Hutchins(CW)
130:Dont know many kids here
135:Tr. Luft (TV)
140: Davis(CV)/Ramey (TV)
145: Ty. Luft(TV)/Rousch (CW)*
152: Graham (TV)
160: Bellomy(CW)
171:Liedecker(TV)
189: Flarhety (HT)
215: Dilley (AC)
285: Turner (AC)**

*Not really sure where hes planning on going but is a huge bet on winning where ever he ends up.
**Don't really know too much about the weight class, just threw a name in there.

Just got the word this weekend....Joe Boswell will not be wrestling for the CW Indians this season due to a family move.....

Joe was a state qualifier as a Freshman last year....big hole to fill

Hangem08...let me throw out a name who I think has a chance to contend at 130 from CW....Dalton Tullius...had a pretty good freshman season, but was injured 2 days before sectionals and couldn't compete there.

Ouch. That hurts bad. But I do remember watching Tullius last year and that is a great pick.

Maybe Teays Valley would have a full JV lineup?

Yea...probably put Wilson in at 160....I think Bellomy may be at 152, so you could move him up with Graham. Put Miller in at 215 instead of Dilley....due to Dilley's injury, he will not wrestle enough MSL matches to qualify. What about Corns from AC (130 or 135??)

At 285, you could add Settles (HT) and Pressley (CW)

I watched Van Horn at the Big Walnut preseason tourney (152)and he finished 1st with a pin (I'm pretty sure) over the kid who beat Worley(sq from BW). Don't sell him short.

From what I hear Corns will be at 135 when league meets start and Miller is going to try to get back to 189 by sectionals (?).

I agree with Pressley at 285

Gerhart hasn't been able to show up against either Luft or Rousch these last 2 years, so why would I rank him up with them? Also, Wilson is a great wrestler, but can he beat Liedecker? I dont think so, but thats me assuming he goes 171. The info on Dilley being out that long will help out and I would of ranked Miller higher if I knew it sooner, AC always has great heavys and I would take their kids over alot of the other schools hands down.

Here the line up for AC at Desales Classic
103-unknown
112-unsure
1119-Jared Dilley, brother to Garren Dilley, very strong freshmen if he doesn't get sloppy and doing risky moves
125-none
130-None
135- Matt Shannon- soph, decent wrestler
140-Gage Corns, can do some damages- planning dropping to 135 for New Ablany
145-Gearhart-strong proven wrestler, can do well
152-Pinkstock, strong wrestler but not consistently, seems to get out of zone sometimes, planning dropping to 140
160-Van Horn- strong wrestler, wild card one of team, has the desire to win, planning on dropping to 152
171-Wilson, very quick consistently wrestler but sells himself short sometimes, planning dropping to 160
189-Chetenski-good soph, still have alot to prove- District qualifier as freshmen
215-Miller, very strong strength wise, i feel he has more desire than anyone on team to do well, planning on dropping to 189, last I heard, he was at 197
285-Turner-junior- not sure much but has height to his advantage, will need to step up to take over Spence spot
Garren Dilley, been well, will wrestle at 215 when comes back, been told he weighs less than 225

And I feel that AC wrestlers are being under ranked, just a feel, I feel that Gearhart, Wilson, Miller, Van Horn, Corns will do well at MSL. there are several reasons
Gearhart-yes, he predictable but he has speed to keep up, and you putting him against state placer(Rousch) and yet anyone got a chance on a mat
Wilson-Great wrestler- most skillful guy on the team, has speed, skill, length to keep up- Will be good match if wrestle vs. Lidecker, from what I hear, Liedecker is not strong but knows when to move at the right time and makes smart moves and can lose, he almost lost to Circleville 145lber last year, I heard it was 1 point difference, yes I will pick Liedecker over Wilson but Wilson pulled a shocker last year when he dominated over Canal 160 Rousch
Van Horn-he probably the strongest person on the team, pound for pound, he has skill if he puts his mind on it, he did well at Big Walnut Tourney, every match he won, he pin the guy even in the championship match, score was 11-2 then pin and he got sloppy vs Workman from Licking Valley and lost
Corn- he a strong wrestler, always has been, has skill but in tough weight
Miller- will do well anywhere he goes, he got to state last year, I was surprised he did that well at district

Thats a great write up about AC. Good break down. I heard (through the grapevine) that Dilley weighed 245 and was planing on wrestling HWT. Also heard he will be back for their home tourney on January 23. If everyone drops like they want to, who will take over 171? Is Chesnteski close enough to drop to 171, or is there a back-up to take Wilson's place there? What if Dilley does wrestle heavy, does Miller stay at 215? or does he drop and leave an opening? All questions that are possible outcomes.

I believe you'll see Dilley at 215 and Miller at 189 (less than 10 lbs away now). Chenetski should be able to make 171.

Then thats gonna make their team a mean dual team! when will everyone drop? When Dilley gets back or before?
