I seem to remember track posts before this past cross country season was over. I will not take away from the attention of the track athletes for about another six weeks.

This is not a cross country thread. :dodgy:

The best High School, female track program in the State of Ohio doesn't even have a track.

Track meet this evening. Beautiful weather. Too bad all those boring events are in between the cool ones.
Think I'll wait until Districts.

Getting ready to get ready for cross country this summer. Yo 609, please check your Private Message's.

Yep. I run ultras. I don't watch 'em.

I watch football in the fall. I got nothing against cross country. In fact, I have never even seen a high school cross country race. I've seen parts of them while they take place during football practice.

If had to choose participating in one or watching one I would definitely choose watching a track meet and participating in an ultra on trails.

...funny thing is I do have blood sugar level issues when I go long. I get sick to my stomach when trying to get calories in during a run. My stomach lining doesn't like sweet stuff while running that far. It's a major problem.

Yes!!! Thanks be to God!

She missed all of track season this year do to an injured foot and ankle. It hasn't been a pleasant spring around the house. :( She is in major withdrawal. Her first year of cross country begins June 1st when she is again allowed to start running and get that base built up.

OK I'll admit. These next few weeks of track season are a little fun.

Ha! Considering her mile time last evening I wouldn't change a thing! :D
