Available tomorrow on PSN and XBLA. $10

I own both systems but will probably grab it on the PS3 since I have relatives on PS3 who will probably play.

From what I've read it's 1993 rosters, generic names due to licensing issues.

You can play in the new HD quasi-3d format, or retro 2d style.

I'm pumped.

the remake of NBA Jam has me more pumped...I like the new football games just fine, and I appreciate TECMO for what it was/is, but I won't buy the new one

DEAL. BREAKER.

The only "generic names" sports game I've ever been able to get into is NCAA football (mainly because after the first season, you'd be getting new, generic names for incoming freshmen anyway).

yeah, if nba jam comes to ps3 or 360, I'm in for sure. (I sold the wii after I realized I didn't touch it for almost a whole year......yes, I said I didn't touch the wii...)

You CAN edit the names, still unsure if you are able to download other people's roster changes to save time....

So one of these generic teams will have a RB34 that will dominate?

That is awesome! If I had money I'd buy that just to help it out in the hope that they make more in the future.

The updated 2-D with slightly better graphics looks really cool.

Tecmo dropped the ball with this . . . again.

This game is based on the SNES version of the game, Tecmo Super Bowl.

The classic version, and the one that just about everyone who's played Tecmo Bowl on the NES, Genesis or SNES prefers, is the NES version of Tecmo Superbowl.

The NES version is far superior, yet they base this incarnation off its weak sister, the SNES game.

LAME.

As long as I can modify the names of the teams and the names of the players like I can on the DS version, I see myself buying this and playing it for a long LONG time.

i don't buy games from the arcade unless they are near and dear to my heart and i haven't moved on to a new replacement.

Madden has bumped this from my HOF.

Games I'd consider (assuming they even are available):

RC PRO AM
SUPER OFF ROAD

Do you have to go through XBox live to get it for the 360?

I don't know why I would play this when I have NCAA and Madden. I guess it might be fun just to play an old classic, but no way do I play it for very long.

The Live Arcade remake of the NES' Bionic Commando kicks a few dozen asses. I bought that as soon as it came out and don't regret that decision at all.
