So, my iPhone came last night, but I can't get my PC to recognize it through any of the 6 USB ports. The ports are 2.0. I worked on it for about 2 hours last night, and a couple times it recognized an "Unknown Device", but never the phone. It has no problem recognizing my wireless mouse. I made sure Windows Updates were current. I read something about updating the BIOS, but I'm not really sure how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

^^^I've tried most of that stuff, w/ no luck. Thinking I might pick up a hi-speed USB hub, and see if that helps anything.

That probably won't help. Does it work on other computers?se-alum wrote: ^^^I've tried most of that stuff, w/ no luck. Thinking I might pick up a hi-speed USB hub, and see if that helps anything.

I will disagree with you my friend. The Macbook Pro I have buries any PC I have ever used, HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba...desktop or laptop!! Just cause you can't afford one (sleeper wrote: Honestly just get a new phone. iPhones are trendy pieces of junk, as well as anything with a damn apple on it, cept for my DICK.

I could care less about the market share as well. The items do exactly what I need them to do FOR ME so why should it matter to anyone else? For this issue with his PC to Iphone problem I was right in saying get a Mac, there won't be that probable. Is it practicle for him to just go out and replace his PC? No, but it is an option though very far down on the list I am sure!

Yeah Macs are way overpriced and so "user friendly" that it's harder for someone who actually knows what they're doing to use. Apple is lucky that Microsoft lets iTunes run on Windows, or else the ipod would tank in sales and Apple would be done for, because that is the only thing keeping them in the market.

It's just as practical to go buy a phone that's compatible with more than 10% of the computers out there.Fab1b wrote: I could care less about the market share as well. And a PC does everything a MAC can do only better. Mac users just want to be trendy and different and boast about how great their MAC's are, when in reality if you spent the same amount of money on a PC as you do for an average MAC, you'd have a top of the line computer.
I'd love to see MAC add compatibility for other products besides MAC approved bull, because we all know they would have way more problems then the more diverse and fluid PC.

Look there is nothing to debate on my end, I am telling you just from my own personal experiences I have had with the 2, I prefer Mac now and that is the way it is, if you don't glad for ya don't buy it simple as that really.

^^ Yeah me neither. I switched out of ease of use, the fact that it has never crashed once, and the superior media applications. I use my computer for media and to record music, and Garageband is perfect for what I need. If you like PCs a whole lot, then good for you.
The problem with calling Iphones "trendy" is that they consistently win consumer reports.
I have a motorolla droid and like it for what it is worth.

I had to uninstall and re-install the drivers for my USB ports.
