Yes or no, simple question.
I say yes, Footwedge requested that I start a thread to see whether or not I'm in the majority.

Yes, against true C's who play with their backs to the basket.
Howard's highest point total in the 3 meaningful games against Cleveland this year was 22. He averaged 17 points compared to him scoring 24+ points in five out of the six games against Cleveland in the 2009 playoffs. He pumped in 24/24/27/30/40 in those games, he has only scored 22 this year in the same game Shaq went 9/10 for 20 points to offset Howard's good offensive game.

Well FW, if I'm in the minority, your voters better start showing up.

Yes. He was brought in here for TWO reasons, Boston & Orlando. My impression, going into the season, was that it may take time to gel and that they wouldn't have as many wins. I was also under the impression that they would be well equipped come playoff time against the teams I mentioned. As long as the Diesel is a pain in the ass to Howard & Garnett, then he's earned his paycheck.

Yes, he was actually brought here for 3 reason. Howard, the Celtics, and the Lakers.
He's performed well against all 3.

10-0.
You asked me to start the thread FW, claiming I was in the minority but hey, we all know that facts are different to you. You'll probably still claim the same.

Shaq is in Cleveland the same reason Holmgren is. To get fat off stupid owners that dont know how to run a franchise. Keep cashing them checks boys.

From what I've seen so far, I'd say no. He's definitely a piece, but so far....definitely not important.

You got one.
It was either Wedge or resident Cleveland hater AlCapone.

He's a piece, how important he is is debateable. I think he struggles against Orlando, but could be successful against Boston. And who knows who comes out of the West at this point.

Hahahah. Hilarious Square. That is not what the poll was supposed to read...idiot. But I did notice several of your butt buddies were quick to chime in.

Well this is deceiving. The poll question is a completely different question from the thread title. I voted 'Yes' to the question in the thread title. I have no idea if Shaq is 'worth a shit' yet.

He is important, crucial in fact, if the Cavs are to get by the Magic. If he plays poorly, the Cavs won't have a chance in hell against Orlando.
