From John Fay:

Chris Dickerson 7
Orlando Cabrera 6
Joey Votto 3
Brandon Phillips 4
Scott Rolen 5
Jay Bruce 9
Drew Stubbs 8
Ryan Hanigan 2
Bronson Arroyo 1

Bronson Arroyo will start tonight’s game. It was Johnny Cueto’s turn. Cueto will start tomorrow. They wanted to give Cueto an extra day of rest.

Dusty Baker said last night that Jonny Gomes was going to play today. I guess he changed his mind after last night, given what Chris Dickerson did in left field (one great catch) and Drew Stubbs did in the No. 7 spot (one hits, one RBI).

Aaron Harang is listed as the starter for Game 1 of the Houston series on the Reds notes. That doesn’t absolutely mean it will happen.

They shouldn't give Adrian Gonzalez one pitch to hit this entire series. Gonzalez is surrounded by a bunch of "Tito"s. Force one of those guys to beat you.

Yeah we know Dusty won't do that. I wonder if it has something to do with when he coached Barry. If the Reds contend this year this is the lineup that will need to carry them.

Arroyo gets thru the 1st, and gets Gonzalez, on 13 pitches, while Correia does the same, but uses 25 pitches.

...but the Reds will let him off the hook by not working the count for much of the rest of the game.....that's what Dusty teams do.

Arroyo with another inning of 28 pitches.....now at 69 thru 3 innings.....and 4 runs

BINGO on the Bobby Cox comment about batting 5 straight lefties versus a righty starter......"it's the most overrated thing in managing.....if the starting lineup does what they are supposed to do versus the starter then we won't have to worry about a lefty pitching to 5 lefties late in the game".

Lol....Reds down 10-0....I'm just glad the Reds didn't act like they were going to be contenders like they did the last few years.

Reds down 10-0 in the 6th. Runners on 1st and 3rd with one out. Cabrera hits an easy fly to RF for a SF and an RBI. Do you consider that a "good" at bat in that situation, trading a run for an out with only 11 outs left? Cabrera has been really good so far at getting situational RBIs, but is that what was needed?

If Cabrera would have not made an out, and everyone else that followed didn't make an out just as they didn't the way it was, do you think Dusty would have still hit Cairo for Rolen?

an RBI is a good at bat

How often will he hit the 3 run HR.......and 3 in 10 shot he'll not make an out

Gomes trying to hit a rally killing 3 run HR instead of just trying to get on base and not make an out!
