is Seth Rogen. He's appeared in 12 movies since 2005 that made more than $20 million. Next closest? Morgan Freeman's nine.

1. Seth Rogen
2. Morgan Freeman
3. Matt Damon
4. Will Ferrell
5. Robert Downey Jr.
6. Samuel L. Jackson
7. Sandra Bullock
8. Meryl Streep
9. Shia LeBeouf
10. Christian Bale

Peaked at 40 Year Old Virgin....he's an actor where the less he's in the film, the better he is. Cameo in Stepbrothers = funny. Moderate role in Superbad = somewhat funny. Main actor in Knocked Up or Pineapple Express or Zack and Miri = not so much.

He was great in Superbad and Knocked up and Pineapple Express are both awesome.

I like you Manhattan Buckeye, but I have to disagree with you here. I think Seth Rogen is hilarious and find all his movies fairly entertaining at worst; at best they are epic.

40 Year Old Virgin = hilarious
Stepbrothers = hilarious
Superbad = legendary
Knocked Up = hilarious
Pineapple Express = entertaining
Zach and Miri = entertaining

Knocked Up is one of the most disappointing movie experiences I've ever had. Maybe it was too much expectations given that I loved all of Apatow's prior work, but that movie did nothing for me. Didn't help that the leading actress is not the nicest person in the industry (probably to the point she's overhated), but even if Heigl wasn't in it I'm not sure my opinion would change. My wife actually fell asleep while watching it, a feat accomplished only once before watching Spiderman 3 (another shitty movie).

I actually think he peaked in "Knocked Up" and I found "Pineapple Express" hilarious (not necessarily because of Rogen though, but he played the part well).

Granted, I haven't seen "Zack and Miri" or "Observe and Report," but I think those are the films that showed he couldn't consistently carry a movie. I base that off general feedback from those movies. I wouldn't mind seeing either of them.

Also, this is kind of a cool list to look at.

While I do enjoy Seth Rogen, I have a sneaky feeling that his roles were a little less straining than say... Matt Damon.

I forgot about Observe and Report...that is one that I did not like.

I like almost everything he is in, but I have a feeling that he will be gone in a few years. He doesn't have much range outside of being a funny smartass.

It's also interesting that none of the actors on this list were in the top ten in earnings last year.

I'm with ya MBuckeye. I don't find him too funny. Most of the movies he's in I actually stop watching and just get on the computer because I can't get into them. I would actually go as far as I almost sort of hate him.

I'm not a huge Rogen fan, but I thought Knocked Up was pretty good. Pineapple Express is fucking hilarious.

SMH @ Superbad being considered legendary.

Aziz Ansari was the funniest person in Observe and Report...and he only had like 5 lines.

Rogen is pretty much the same character in each movie he's in...but he's good at being goofy and funny.

Agreed. You have to remember Manhattan Buckeye is an amateur critic of tv and film.

Ironic because Aziz Ansari was the only funny part of Funny People, playing Raaaaaaaandy!

Seriously though, Funny People is a hot piece of garbage, and I walked out of it with a bunch of people with about 40 minutes left (which was 2 hours or so into the movie).

They forgot to make that movie funny.

I think you may have missed an important aspect of Funny People. It wasn't suppose to be all funny.

No I must have missed the part where he actually abused someone. I do love anger issues though.

Would you argue Animal House is? Because Superbad is basically this generation's Animal House.

I disagree. While I enjoyed Superbad. IMO it isn't in the same league as Animal House. That is one of the funniest films of all time. John Belushi RIP.

What you are arguing doesn't even compare to what he was saying
