The draft is getting closer and closer. Im anxious to see which team drafts Bradford and gives him the record breaking deal that seems to happen with each following year. I'm wondering if Al takes the biggest freak available. I think the steal of the draft could be Berry slipping to Cleveland, and I think it might just happen. I hope Big Ben gets traded during the draft so there are some big fireworks.

This is one of the most exciting drafts in years in my opinion. This is a VERY deep draft class.

Well I thought Bradford to the Rams was a given. But now that they have traded Carriker, I think they could go the DT route.

I think they want him, but don't want to spend all that money on unproven talent. Does anybody?

I think a lot of teams are thinking that also and you really can't blame them. I think we may see Bradford slip down a spot or 2. If St. Louis passes on him, I think there will be some mad trading going on, including the Browns, to snag Sam.

I still think Bradford could slide because of the money it will cost to draft a QB #1. I really think the safest pick in this draft is Suh. I think he is going to be special.

I think between Suh and Berry, they are the safest 2 picks.

I'm torn. I want the dolphins to get Dan Williams or Earl Thomas at 12, but would like to see them get back into the second and pray that 1 of those 2 will fall to them later in Round 1. I would also not be critical of moving Ronnie Brown seeing as he's 50/50 on re-signing after the season. that could get them back into the top 60. Then RB becomes a somewhat pressing need. the draft is fun for this reason.

as for Cleveland, I would only trade up to get Berry. Bradford is not the next Manning, or Brees. At best he's Matt Schaub, good, flashes great, but will need a VERY strong supporting cast to be successful.

and Pittsburgh needs to take a deep breath and not do anything crazy. Just keep going the way you've been going, it will work out, and assuming Ben learns his lesson, you're set at the most critical position. Go get a WR or an OL.

As a Cowboys fan, I'm hoping that a good LT is still there at 27. I'd love to see the young guy Davis be there.

The format could lead to some bold moves, I think.

You figure this big primetime spectacle, some teams will not want to leave Thursday night without getting something accomplished.

For example, I predict Jerry Jones will move up and get a specific player.

As far as the Steelers, I think Maurkice Pouncey is a solid choice but a very slight reach. He makes sense in terms of need but Kevin Colbert does try to get the best value among a few different positions of need. It will probably be either an offensive lineman or a cornerback but it depends on how they have those players ranked.

I think they would have Iupati, Haden and Earl Thomas all ranked higher overall than Pouncey. They're probably still in the Thomas sweepstakes because they'll try to move him to cornerback, although I think he'll be gone before No. 18.

I don't think anybody gives a rats ass if it's primetime. It's primetime every year, just on a Thursday now. People will do what they think is best for their team.

Yeah I don't know about this time slot. I think fewer people might end up watching. (I'll still catch some of it) but just think, you have the NBA playoffs, MLB baseball, and primetime network television (The Office, etc). There is a whole heck of a lot more going on, on a Thursday night than there was around lunchtime on a Saturday

Thursday night is by far a better time slot than a Saturday in late April. I'll be watching it tonight, and if it were on Saturday I certainly wouldn't be.

I will be stunned if the Rams don't take Bradford now. They have no QB, have a lot of money already invested in defensive players, and are probably not willing to spend more on another DT. They will take Bradford.

Which then opens the door for the Lions to make the easiest slam dunk pick they have had since Barry Sanders, Ndamkong Suh. If they screw this up in any way possible, my life long fandom of that team may end.

This is new with the one round going on the first day. I think it will be interesting to see if teams stay patient. Like for Tim Tebow.

It is not primetime every year. The first round is usually in the middle of the day.

I love that the draft is on tonight instead of all day Saturday because I'm going to the OSU Spring Game and I enjoy watching the draft.. I've seen some reports that have the Bengals getting Dez Bryant or Jermaine Gresham or Taylor Mays... I'd take any of those in a heart beat!

This is the first time it has happened in prime time. Up until last year, the modern draft as we know it occurred at lunchtime on a Saturday.

Last year the first day of the draft started at 4 pm. On the second day they started at 10 am.

No shit the draft started early. However, when you've got groups getting together that are close to a buzz before the first pick is selected-- I would say that's primetime. People make it a big deal, rightfully so. I don't care if it's noon or 7. People have always worked around their schedules for the draft. I fully get the notion of primetime, I'm just thinking outside the box. At least in my opinion, I think noon on a Saturday is more primetime than 6 on a Thursday. Not too many people are going to be doing their usual ritual that they'd do on the weekend.
