than women do for guys?? Just sampling my circle of friends, it seems like guys have a much harder time getting over women, than my female friends have getting over a guy? I just seems like it takes my buddies weeks or even months to get over an ex. I'm reminded of this, because I've been trying to get a buddy of mine to go out and have a good time, but he's still hooked on this chick that he dated like a month ago.

It is easier for women to replace a guy and move on so yeah, maybe it does take longer for guys to get over women.
Plus....it is alot of work for dudes to really et the woman. The guy sees all the hard work it took to land a lady and he doesnt wanna have to go through it again.
A woman on the other hand pretty much can pick and choose and start a relationship at will. Find a decent looking guy, be interested and bam the guy will pursuit.
Isnt like that with guys.......

Do guys fall harder?
Yes, becasuse they have to do the persuing, ask for commitment, and make it.
Now when it comes to getting over someone, it just depends on who broke it off. Usually, whoever breaks it off has an easier time.

Def right there.....whoever breaks it off it is usually easier becuase they have either found a replacement or had been thinking about it for awhile and are prepared for it.bigkahuna wrote: Do guys fall harder?

Guys do the pursuing, do the hard work for hte most part.

Hmmm I think typically the person that's "dating up" has a harder time getting over someone. Guys do all the pursuing, but they can still catch a girl that's out of their league from time to time. The girl isn't really that into him and eventually she moves on leaving him left crying in his beer. I know plenty of girls that have met a guy who blew them away, but he was just having a good time. When he moves on it has the same effect on them.

Not sure guys fall harder, but faster. Reason is, TYPICALLY, guys let their guard down much faster than women do.

Lol....I told him he was one...he hit me so hard my arm hurt for a week! It's kinda funny, because he's a 6'3" 345lb guy competing for his pro card as a Strongman.power i wrote:Quit hanging out with pusses.se-alum wrote: than women do for guys?? Only the stalkers fall harder...
Actually I think either male or female who goes "all in"... has a tendency to be hurt the most. Those who are very serious about a relationship that gets terminated for whatever reason tend to struggle a little. Usually it is for the better in the long run... to find out someone is going to twist before one gets married.

^ I agree. It really depends who has the most invested in the relationship and how it ends. If it's a mutual breakup, then while one person will probably be a little suprised, it shouldn't be devastating to either one. However, if it's sudden or without explanation, cheating etc. then it could be. I know it would hurt both of us really bad if my gf and I broke up, because we live together, have welcomed a few animals into our place since we got it, and everything we have is pretty much intermingled from the bills all the way down to the food in our refridgerator lol. So if we broke up, adding to the fact that losing the person I've been the closest to for the last 2+ years, I would have the financial headache of sorting everything out, moving her shit out etc. (she couldn't afford to live here on her own, I probably could..barely until i found a new place!) So I could see how it would take a long time in some cases, depending on the situation, because it's not just the emotional aspect, its all the other aspects you have to deal with when a "serious" relationship ends.
