How USC has escaped sanctions is beyond me. I realize they bring in a ton of money for the NCAA, but really? Nothing? Come on. This is just a crime (no pun intended).

I have to laugh at Ohio State fans who get all worked up about USC and "getting away" with bad behavior. The fact of the matter is the NCAA protects the elite class of schools-- you know it, I know it, everyone knows it. The schools that get the beat down are schools in non BCS AQ conferences and lower tiered schools in bigger conferences.

By the way, Ohio State would have likely gotten the same kid glove treatment as they fall in that elite class as well.

doubtful. The NCAA needed his deposition to do anything major. They have no subpoena powers and if they ask Bush what happened he can tell them to fuck right off. They have no power at all.

So I guess we will never have to worry about Cincinnati being protected LOL

And you couldn't be more wrong. When OSU was dealing with the Clarrett accusations by the NY Post...the NCAA had multiple personal combing over the entire university. I know someone at OSU who made a comment that "I couldn't take a piss without the NCAA looking over my shoulder".
Why USC is getting away this, IF they do...I have no freaking clue. But its pitiful if they do.

You aren't kidding. The NCAA has punished UC so many times for minor infractions it is not even funny. What's more, I could count numerous examples of UC never catching a break when other schools have gotten opportunities. When the NCAA comes around, UC shutters like a battered child.

Please. What has OSU "done" that was as bad as what USC did for Bush and Mayo? Hmmm?

SB, what I am saying is that everyone has a little dirt on their hands. You are naive if you believe OSU is "holier than thou" and has never had kids receive $100 (heck nowadays I guess it is $1000) handshakes. Therefore, I chuckle when I hear people get all bent out of shape about UC and act like that sort of behavior does not happen at their school.

The biggest point I was making however is that "elite" schools do not get the same level of penalty that a non elite does. It does not take a genius to figure out that when USC, OSU, Bama, ND, et al are good, it is a good economic push for college football. They don't give a rats ass about some other teams though. Look at Central Florida who plays in C-USA. They just got there ass slammed for two years for some infractions we see everyday at the bigger schools.
