3 runs in the 1st for LA, 6 runs in the 2nd for the good guys, and Cinci added another in the 3rd. Thats 7-3 for you math majors.

I'm stunned at how we are hitting the ball tonight.

And a bomb for Votto, scoring Stubbs.

My eyes haven't recovered yet from Pittsburgh. It was a combination of bad lineups and even worse than usual hitting. Games like tonight though can give the guys some confidence.

Homer has really, really calmed down since the 3 run 1st.

Looking good now.

Paul needs to shut up about this UC football and OSU football crap! I'm trying to enjoy a non-hateful evening over here.

Yes, only 8 pitches in the 8th, in spite of the Dodgers taking 4 strikes. Only one ball thrown and three swings, two of them for outs. That is the way to lower pitch count, make the swings be outs! Easier said than done. The Dodgers just may have conceded and want to get to the hotel after the first game of a 9 game trip.

Wow, I went from cursing Gomes to seeing the replay and being amazed he would just flat out sprint and jump at that wall.

That is the risk of using 4 or 5 relievers, like Saturday night, one of them stands to be bad!

That is 4 blown saves out of 8 opportunities this year for the Reds. But it is not a good year for saves in the NL so far as four teams haved saved less than half of their opportunities, and two others, in addition to the Reds are only 50%!
