I remember I had an away baseball that night and didn't get home until pretty late. I had no clue what happened until the next day I heard some kid in my 1st period class banging his desk and going on about how pissed he was at the two guys who carried out the attack.

I was in my 8th grade english class when we heard about it. I don't know if I just become more aware after that day or what, from then until I graduated college, whenever I walked into a classroom and I always checked where the nearest exits were.
Just a couple of weeks ago, our school I worked at had this assembly about one of the girls who was killed during Columbine...it was a pretty touching story and had a good message.

Spent the last half an hour looking at past attacks on schools. The Texas shootings were insane. Dude just straight up snapped

I remember this like it was yesterday. I was rained out from work that day so I watched the whole thing all day. I would say this and 9-11 may be 2 of the biggest tragedies I will ever remember.

didn't know about it until I got a little older(was only in 5th grade at the time) but still remember it being a scary time for everyone

It is very good, and almost everything you thought before you will be shocked to learn what is actually true/not true. I highly recommend it. I think it was Fab4runner as well that may have read it, I remember discussing it over on GayGay before. Yep it was me. Amazingly informative book...but so disturbing at the same time. I was only 14 when it happened but the things the media was reporting at the time really stuck with me. After reading Columbine it was crazy to learn the facts and errors.

Columbine was a great book to read. I also enjoyed the book "She Said Yes" even though Im not religious anymore I still would suggest people to read it but its not as great as Columbine. I knew this had happened around this time of year but no idea it was on the 20th.

A psychologist at the hospital I work at had me help him with a presentation that included the Columbine tragedy. I still have the video clip on my computer of footage taken inside the school from the security cameras. It's some of the most difficult footage I've ever had to watch just knowing it was real life. The screams and crying. Watching the two guys walking on top of the library tables waving their rifles and mocking the students as they cower and cry underneath the tables. The gun shots. It was awful. Final shot is of the two counting down and then committing suicide.

I read some of the wikipedia article and its kind of sad how one detective had evidence or a warrant to go into one of the guys house a year before the attack. And after the attack, somehow his evidence was lost (or something along those lines)...

2 of the most tragic things I will ever witnessed happened during my high school years, Columbine and 9/11. Columbine struck a cord with me by being in high school and all at the time. After Columbine, you noticed a lot of cliques were not clashing anymore. Everyone seemed to get a long really well.

Bowling for Columbine was pretty insightful as well, regardless of your views of Michael Moore. Some of that footage is possibly the most dramatic images I've ever seen.

I can't stand MM either... kind of like other people can't stand Rush Limbaugh I guess. That's why I said regardless of your views of Michael Moore, and I understand that he's entirely full of shit. But he has some good interviews and the footage is as intense as it comes.
