Starting up the thread for the UEFA Champions League Semi Finals.

Todays match sees Barcelona travel to Milan, Italy to take on Inter at the San Siro.

Tomorrow we see Bayern Munich take on Olympic Lyonnais at home in the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

Thoughts? I liken the winner of todays tie to take home the crown. But I think both Semi's have a lot of interesting possibilities. The most glaring one is Ibra and Eto'o taking on their former sides from last year in what was essentially a trade between Inter and Barca for the aforementioned players.

GOALLLLLLLL Pedro!!!!

What terrible defending by Inter. Maxwell practically walked the ball to the goal. Terrible, but Ill take it.

I am pretty sure the fattest man in the world could've made that pass by Maxwell...He just walked to the goal line!

Frankly I wasn't thrilled to see Maxwell in the starting 11. I was wrong on that one.

He is pretty atrocious in LB, but has been playing GREAT on the wing. Actually, Pep teamed him up top with Messi, and Ibra(?, maybe Pedro) last league game.

I know he is in the LB position today, and I think he doesnt really fit there well. But hes played amazing for Barca for about a month now.

Also, Lucio was ruled offside on that header.

Goal Inter, Wesley Sneijder

Terrible defending by both teams thus far.

Not as sharp as usual. May or may not be due to the unexpected travel hiccup (thanks volcanic ash).

Still playing pretty solid. Xavi is a magician, but Messi has been pedestrain and Ibra just blows.

the defense has be SHIT, and it just got scored on again.

Oh my, 3-1 Inter now. Slightly surprised by Inter's dominance over probably the best team in the world coming into this one.

shit, 3-1 Inter. Messi needs to show up now. He has not had any discernible impact on this game

That was offside. Oh well, get a goal and they are still in great shape.

They do look dead right now though. I understand why Barca was so pissed at UEFA for not moving this game back. Having to travel by bus for 2 days looks to have taken a lot out of their step.

Eh, I think the ref has been solid. Maybe a little inconsistent on the yellows being given out, but not on the way the game has been called.

Lets just say I pray to GOD that Ibra and Sergio Busquets are not in the squad for the return leg. Toure would be ideal vs Inter at the holding mid position. Wouldnt mind seeing one of the young guys get a run up top for Ibra (Bojan or Jeffren) or Henry.

how was that a yellow card?

I think Bojan would be the best solution up top. He is better able to hold the pressure that Inter are assured to bring to the central striker. Certainly better than Ibra who looks like a baby giraffe running around out there. He just can't hold the ball under pressue.

that yellow on Alves is bullshit.

lol, I can understand not giving the penalty (although it was) but a YELLOW CARD for Alves...wtf is that about?
