I don't watch the NBA at all so it's easy for me to say the NHL playoffs are better but I don't know if that article holds 100% true because the NBA gets much better ratings.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....no, not even close. And I'm a hockey fan.

1st round, the advantage goes to hockey. After that, I don't even pay attention to it until the Cup games.

I don't really care much for hockey. The Olympics had little affect on the overall sport, which I'm living proof of. I loved watching olympic hockey, but the NHL itself just doesn't do it for me..

I love basketball though, so whatever.

It comes down to which sport you like better. Personally, I watch hockey just about every night this time of year. I'll flip to basketball every once in awhile. But, the NBA is a better marketed (and more popular) US product, so they get the nod when it comes to ratings and coverage.

Not a hockey fan, but the until the NHL gets off of VS....it is barely a major sport. Not a knock on the game...more of a knock on whoever decided to ink the deal with a network like that.

I would probably at least watch a few games if it was on ESPN or a TBS-type of network. I have gone to several NHL games in the past couple of years, so the game is interesting enough to me to watch....just not on VS.

NHL is better overall I'd say.

The scores are low, 3-2, 4-3, so naturally more games are going to be close.

Let's say you're watching a random NBA game and it's 21-10 then 30-17, 41-30. Those games are usually boring as hell unless they get close in the fourth quarter and it comes down to a few possessions.

I will say that these NHL playoffs have been tremendous so far.

A lot of even series and OT games and upsets.

If you just went by what's happened so far it's a strong case for the NHL but it's not always this compelling.

The NHL playoffs started?

Seriously though, the NBA playoffs last year were AMAZING.

This year, there have been a few good games in the 1st round, especially the surprising upsets by Utah and Portland on the road.

Last years NHL Playoffs were amazing as well.

-Crosby and Ovechkin both having hat tricks in the same game

-Anaheim and 8 seed upsetting San Jose the best team in the league

-The Rangers forcing a game 7 against the Caps

-Carolina upsetting New Jersey in 7

-Carolina upsetting Boston in 7

-Capitals vs. Pens in a thrilling 7 game series (nuff said)

-Anaheim forcing a game 7 against Detroit (Detroit won)

-Incredible 6 game series between the Hawks and Nucks

-Malkin takes over the ECF

-Detroit dominates Chicago in the WCF

-Pens/Red Wings for the second year in a row

-Pens win the Stanley Cup on the road in game 7

It's like 20-2 NHL in good games so far.

I think people make too big of a deal about Versus. It's 2010. There are a lot of channels. Unless you're 85 years old, it doesn't take much to locate the channels above 10.

I really can only speak for myself. I like all sports even basketball but when I watch an NBA game I usually have to flip back and forth through the first half. It's tough to watch 2 1/2 hours unless it's like those Bulls-Knicks games when it was so intense throughout.

The last 16 seconds of that game was incredible, Fleury making that incredible save on Lidstrom to win the Stanley Cup.

I like both sports equally and love sports in general. I am an avid soccer fan and I think the World Cup is the greatest sports spectacle on this Earth. With that being said, nothing trumps the NHL playoffs for me.
