Because Toyota, for the most part, still has a superior product and quality. I think the whole re-call thing is overblown, and obviously customers agree with that.

I won't buy a toyota next time around. it's not due to the recalls, but mainly the fact that I think there are better options for what my wife and I want/need.

Thats because they are practically giving them away at this point. There is no way in the world I would put someone I care about in a Toyota and I hope they go under for the shady shit they pulled.

And this has nothing to do with the non-union employed Toyota trying to stay ahead of investigative probes by a government which has financial vested interest in reducing the success of a competing motor company to their own government run union employed motor company.

Like Toyota doesn't see the writing on the wall? Don't make me laugh! Toyota is running scared from the US gov't BIG TIME and will do anything they can to avoid another blow to their rep.

How would feel if you had a company and your competitor was not only selling a product similar to yours, but also has the ability to not only investigate your company and product, but make laws, enforce regulations and level fines that undermines the success of your company and product?

The UAW has to be extremely happy to see what the efforts of their new business partner is doing to secure their jobs. Quid pro quo is definitely working in this case.

where did I say they haven't?.. I'm saying blaming the government for their shoddy work is retarded.
