Won't see alot of the Raw stars tonight as they are stuck in Europe due to the Volcano in Iceland. They are using the mid-card Raw wrestlers and most of the guys from SD. IF the Raw guys make it back in time they will probably used on SD this week. I read that everyone w/tix will be refunded. The Cast of MacGruber is hosting.

Not appearing on Raw tonight:
Chris Benoit
Cena
Batista
Randy Orton
Sheamus
Miz
Mark Henry
Bret Hart
Eve
Chavo
Kelly Kelly
Maryse
Chris Masters
Hornswoggle
Big Show
Evan Bourne
MVP
Ted DiBiase
Christian
William Regal

along with several refs.

Should make for a weird show.

Oh, and Triple H didn't travel. I could see a Trips/Jericho or Punk main event.

Trips is having some neck issues so if he does wrestle tonight odds are he won't do to much.

It will mostly be Smackdown guys.

If they can get back in time, Smackdown will likely be most of the RAW roster.

If the Raw talent does make it back in time for the Smackdown tapings, I'd bet he won't be there for that either.

ok so it wasn't half bad... MacGruber was a halfway entertaining guest host, especially when he "blew up" R-Truth

I thought it was a good Raw, for the lack of time for getting the show ready. It was 100% better than TNA.

I wouldn't say it was a good Raw. Very little and poor wrestling last night when they could have had some decent matches. Writers are just very bad at the moment and can't build up anyone or anything. Granted, no one was there but even with the SD guys, the show was just not that good.

Reading the results it sounded as if it was not very good.

Triple Haitch and Taker went at it after RAW went off the air.

Over at TNA, Rob Van Dam went over AJ Styles for their World Title in a pretty good match.

Looks like they are fully aware they marched out a shitty product, refunds being offered.

Yeah, Raw was disappointing. You got the idea they had no real clue as to how to book a show on the fly and didn't want to advance any SD feuds to alter their immediate plans for this week's show. So we got:

1. A shitload of unfunny to marginally funny segments with McGruber and his feud with...Kozlov. Well...Jericho's interaction with him cracked me up...the rest put me to sleep.
2. A long HHH/Punk promo that went right up against the Hardy/RVD match on TNA.
3. And the entertaining 6-man match at the end and entertaining Taker/Swagger match.

I can't remember off the top of my head if anything else actually happened, but I do know that the only two things really worth watching both came as TNA was going off the air, since they didn't have overrun time this week.

I'll be interested to see what the ratings show this week, as TNA really seemed to book a much tighter show with far less BS and chaos than usual that including three big matches (RVD/Hardy; Team Hogan vs. Team Flair rematch; RVD/Styles). The only two negatives I really got out of the show were:

1. Rob Terry's great 30-second stint in the early-show Team Hogan-Team Flair encounter where he botched a press slam and then botched a big boot by falling down while delivering it.

2. I got the distinct impression they have no long-term ideas and completely booked their talent around the fact the RAW crew was stranded in Europe. Just look at the second hour (where they were going against RAW) RVD vs. Hardy; a PPV rematch featuring the return of Samoa Joe; a world title change with RVD beating Styles.

They are offering refunds because fans bought tickets to see the Raw roster, not Smackdown.

I would think the WWE would be smarter than that and not guarantee any specific wrestlers/rosters in the fine print.

Assuming the talent level between the two rosters is split equal (I have no idea if it is because I haven't watched it in 10 years, my brother does so that's the only reason I knew anything), it should fall under "shit happens", you still got 2 hours of WWE superstars.

^^^ Very true. It is not like it is like wrestling from the 80's and they were stuck watching the guys who got thrashed every Saturday afternoon like the Brooklyn Brawler, Special Delivery Jones, Iron Mike Sharpe, Salvatore Bellomo, The Duke of Dorchester et al. The Smackdown Roster is legit.

I do believe they were offering refunds before RAW even aired.

They always have a "card subject to change" disclaimer. It really comes down to a respect for the consumer, whose money they'll need for their next crappy show (with no excuses).

now that I think about it, why didn't they put MacGruber against somebody believeable, instead of Kozlov?
