Surprised the Eagles picked him up as the just drafted a TE in the 1st round last season.

he is coming off a knee injury and if you can a player like Scheffler for a 5th rounder i would do it.

Don't really understand it from the Lions side unless they plan on going with 2 TE's a lot with Scheffler and Pettigrew. Scheffler is a good player and I welcome him, but not sure why they got another TE when they had a good, young one as is. Plus they trade away their leading tackler fro about 3 years in a row. Hope it works for them but just puzzled by it.

Yeah not sure why we would trade away our only consistently productive defensive player for a tight end. My faith in the new regime is dwindling.

I mean Sims probably hasn't lived up to his total potential but from some of the Lions boards I have been on, seems as though they aren't done in acquiring another LB.

ESPN was saying Pettigrew is more of a blocking TE while Scheffler is a better receiving TE. FWIW.

The reason Sims was trade was because the Lions didn't think they could resign him.
