With it being so ridiculously hot out, it got me thinking about summer. So I figured I'd make a thread for everyone to brag about what they are planning to do during the summer.

For me,

My fiance and I are going to hit up a few Indians games. The last one I was at I was 19 (I'm 23 now) and while they suck, its still a fun time to go out and attend a game. We also will be looking for a place in Akron, which is about the halfway point between both of our jobs.

Individually, I am looking forward to the Hall of Fame ribs burn off and blowing 100-200 bucks on ribs and booze.

Reds game, hopefully Cedar Point or Kings Island or both, Zoo, Zoombeezi Bay, a Crew game among many other things. Just trying to keep the economy humming.

Totally forgot about Zoombezi Bay, I'd love to hit that place up this summer.

Didn't do it last year and it looked like a blast. It's a hellofa lot closer than Kings Island too.

I have never been a huge fan of Kings Island in comparison to Cedar Point. Once you do Cedar Point I don't think anywhere else compares.

Since it will be my first Summer of not having to go back to the classroom, I am planning on doing a lot more biking, driving down to southern Ohio to visit our only out of area grandchildren, working in the yard a lot more, maybe even putting in a small(very small) vegetable garden or something similar to that), doing some day road trips to sites in Ohio that we have never visited, nothing really exotic or expensive, but fun.

Building a lower level to our stone patio, re-building the dog kennels, painting the wooden area of the house….
Few trips to Chicago see my daughter, wife and I will do our surprise weekend trips every month, yearly Hilton Head vacation, Cedar Point (maybe), I will take a long weekend trip alone (someplace), I was planning this year a cruise for my wife and I to Alaska for a week plus….but that may have to be put off this year.

I'm playing in a AA mens slowpitch softball league in Lakewood. It's double-headers on Sundays.
I play ultimate frisbee every Friday in Firestone Metropark (basically a HUGE grass field) in Akron.
I coach summer basketball during the summer as well.

Softball league Sundays and Tuesdays, tournaments probably 1 or 2 weekends a month, golf league Wednesdays. Also hopefully a few Tigers/Mud Hens games and I'm planning on going to Chicago for either the Braves/Cubs series or Reds/Cubs(4th of July weekend) and a trip to DC in September for Braves/Nationals(and visit a buddy who moved there in January). Throw in the week in Dublin for the Memorial Tournament and I'd say its a pretty good summer.
