Type O Negative was one of my favorite bands in college. Heard on the radio that Peter Steele died yesterday at the age of 48 of an apparent heart attack. I still listen to October Rust and Bloody Kisses.

Yeah, sad stuff. Love Type O...especially "bloody kisses" and "world coming down". But, I've read a lot of things about Peter's addictions and also being diagnosed as clinically depressed.

I just sold my "October Rust" cd the other day.

Too bad he went at a somewhat young age

Dang. One of my top 3 all time favorite bands.

Awhile back they played the Odeon up in Cleveland. My buddy almost got into a fight with Marilyn Manson who attended the show (long story). So I get home and have a voicemail. It's my buddy who says "dude, call this number." I called the number and got Peter Steele's home phone answering machine.

RIP

Do I have to say it.....? Drug use most likely contributed to his death.
