Whose fault is that? It's the coaches responsibility to protech themselves and it's the opposing coaches job to gain any advantage they can get.

This isn't peewee football.

If you're going to even mention that possiblity, you better have solid evidence. "We feel" isn't good enough and makes you look like a crybaby.

I suppose OSU stole the "LeGarrette Blount fumble and kick into the end zone" signal also.

If their only proof is the fact that OSU held them well under their usual offensive production then SMH.

Is it really stealing by watching tape and recognizing what a team does when a coach makes a certain signal? I know playing baseball our coach would have a few bench players keep an eye on the other teams third base coach to see if they can pick off signs. No one complains in that sport, its just part of the game.

The Buckeyes had to be stealing signals. Same for Iowa, Penn State, and Wisconsin. That is the only way the plodding Big Ten teams had a chance to slow down those prolific athletes.

Pathetic attempt to try to discredit the win.

Oregon had to face a really good defense and got stomped.

Like the article says later, "I saw a physically superior group of defenders execute the scheme and their fundamentals against a gimmicky offense. Ohio State was extremely well prepared for the game, and Oregon ball carriers didn't have the room to run or the arm tackles that they were accustomed to in the Pac-10. "

Wow, stealing signals!! Is this new? Guess what, it happens in every freaking sport. Anyone who knows or has coached a sport knows exactly what goes on in scouting to prepare your team. Maybe the dolts need to learn how to change things up. Its not like they didn't have enough time going into a bowl game. Just an excuse.

i guarantee you that if arizona state had stolen their signals oregon still would have pounded them. osu was the best defense Oregon played all year regardless of whether the signals were stolen or not.

Why on earth would a coach come out and say this? Does he not realize how absolutely retarded he and the rest of UO staff looks now because of it? Umm, if they were stealing your signals, get smart and change them?

Stealing signals is just one of the negatives of a no huddle gimmick offense. Playing a no huddle gimmick offense is admitting you can't line up and play toe to toe with top ten programs.

so watching film for almost 40 days straight leading up to the game on all 12 of your opponents over and over and knowing every play you ran out of every formation for an entire 12 game season had nothing to do with it?

I do think it is funny that when the Patriots were accused of stealing signals/filming people actually thought they should have to forfeit wins. But when OSU is accused of it, the other team is a bunch of crybabies.

Not AT ALL.

The Patriots were secretly spying on the practices, whereas the Buckeyes, IF THIS IS TRUE, looked strictly at game tape, which last time I checked, wasn't illegal.

Nobody is saying if it was true it would be ok. But the Buckeyes did nothing illegal and all it is is a crybaby excuse.
