Yep, this will be the first year in a while that the team doesn't leave us disappointed.

Note: I was disappointed with the loss to Texas, but not how they played.

I'll wait and vote when we have an opponent. I don't think they can beat Oregon, But every other Pac 10 school would be a W.

Why are you so sure Oregon would win? Their defense isn't great and their offense hasn't faced a defense like Ohio State's all year. If OSU continues to run the ball effectively like they are then I see no reason why they wouldn't win.

I think no matter who they play that hopefully they'll use the exta 50 some odd days and find a way to stop people.

I think they did pretty damn good against Texas who many believed should have been playing in the NCG.

I dont think I can complain regardless of who it is from the Pac-10, they dont play defense, another team to possibly win the Pac 10 is Oregon State

Because Oregon's offense is nothing like what OSU has seen all year. Their zone read in particular is unstoppable because they can run it two different ways and Masolli makes the correct decision every time which makes it nearly impossible for a defense to be "right" on a play in terms of alignments and gap accountability. The closest analog on OSU's schedule to what Oregon does is Michigan, and it is an imperfect one at that because they don't run their scheme with either the conviction or the pace that Oregon does.

UO's offense is pretty potent. If they can stop our DEs, they'll light up the score board. OSU's offense is sketchy in the pass. We'd rely heavily on the run to drain down the clock.

Even though I don't think we'll win, I want Oregon. IMO, they are the best team in the PAC10. That would be an exciting game.

Let's wait until after Saturday to figure this one out. If the Buckeyes lose to Meatchicken, my answer will be NO. If they lose to the Weasels they shouldn't be playing in the Rose Bowl even though it's already a lock.

If they beat TSUN, then I'll say YES.

Thats the thing Chip Kelly has found a way to take most defensive ends completely out of the game. The easiest way to defend the read option is to have a defensive end that is athletic enough to take the QB and the running back on the same play. But Oregon doesn't always read the defensive end on their zone read. Against USC Oregon read the defensive tackles instead of the defensive ends. They can run that play reading either the defensive end or the defensive tackle. Because OSU has similar personnel to USC they would most likely approach it the same way.

You watch. Mark May and the rest of the country, outside Ohio, will write the Buckeyes off going into this game. Then something funny will happen. OSU will play out of their minds and WIN! It's going to be a trap game for Oregon, Stanford, whoever wins the PAC10.
