No QB.

They might trade Lynch. Not many notable players on either side of the ball.

And a tough division with the Jets and Patriots way better and the Dolphins still significantly better.

Raiders aren't that bad defensively and they had some players emerge late last season like Michael Bush, Schilens, Zach Miller, etc. And that division could be tightening up with San Diego losing some key guys.

Rams need a lot but that division tends to be weak, so you can be in contention at 8-8.

Could certainly argue Bucs or Lions.

The Raiders b/c Al Davis is still alive.

Rams. Buffalo? They competed all last season.

some poor choices. a lot of bad teams ommitted. some decent teams included.

Jacksonville. the team is in a division that is crushing. sketchy at QB, bad on defense. not the biggest trainwreck of a team, but they are the furthest away from contention.

Bears deserve honorable mention as well. They are a mess.

I voted for Tampa Bay because i cant think of a single good player on their team??? Im not in "football season mode" so i could be(probably am) wrong.

tampa bay by far, they have a coach who wasnt even a coordinator and was hired to be the head coach, and their owner wont spend in free agency.

The Lions are not in bad shape at all coming into this season. Offense should be good with Stafford, Megatron, Pettigrew, and Smith. Defense will be better, especially with the potential drafting of Suh or McCoy. Defensive backfield is the biggest problem area but Delmas will be a star at safety.

Rams, Browns, and Raiders are in much worse shape.

I'm really surprised to not see the Browns on the list.

They have a coach who is on borrowed time, he's gone after this year.

Old and terrible at QB.

Not really a good running game.

Bad WR's.

Average defense.

All they really have going for them is a defensive coordinator with great hair and a bunch of draft picks.

i think its jacksonville...when tebow is thought of as a savior because of not what he can do on the field but how many people he can put in the stands, your team is in rough shape

Well, I look at it like this.

In this age of parity, there are some sleeper teams that surprise and have a playoff type year.

But even understanding that, there are a few teams that really have no shot whatsoever.

There is no way Buffalo is finishing first or second in that division, next year or for the next 2-3 years. They might be a better team than a few others but considering the situation, you can bank on them not being in the playoffs for at least three years.

Cleveland is getting somewhat better and I think there is a glimmer of hope they can be one of those sleeper teams next year. They won't make the playoffs but if a lot goes right they could be 8-8 and in the wild card hunt until the last week or two.

Jacksonville still has a solid QB in Garrard and Maurice Jones-Drew. They're not that far away from being like Tennessee and Houston in that 7-9 to 9-7 pack.

I'd say the Raiders due to the Al Davis factor. I can imagine scenarios where the average lousy team in the NFL can at least improve to being respectable. With Crazy Al running the show based on his day-to-day whims, they just are mired in futility with a coaching carousel that's been stuck on a borderline psychopath for the last couple years and a draft strategy that seems to be "Give the world at least one WTF moment strictly for the lulz".

I would have to also say Buffalo. Besides the rumors of the team moving to Toronto, the cupboard is bare with not too many young stars to speak of. And, with free agency a big part of the NFL now (compared to years past), Buffalo doesn't stand much of chance playing in an ugly, cold city in an old, dreary stadium.

Browns will be at least a 7 win team. Should have won 7 last year (blew Detroit & Cincy games).

I think Detroit is on the rise though.

Oakland won't be relevant again til Davis quits/dies.

Hey now, Orchard Park is really nice. Nobody goes into the city, the stadium isn't even in the city.
