Good for him. It is hard to dislike this guy for any reason. I could see him doing some pretty great things at Butler.

Nice move by Butler but sorry, this doesnt mean he is staying past next year. Coaches get these extensions all the time. They leave for a richer deal, or have even been fired 2 yrs in. It is a nice gesture by Butler, but long term it means nothing.

UNC Charlotte fired Bobby Lutz recently with 4 yrs left on his contract. He had just signed a 5 yr extension before last season. Not that Butler would fire him, but long term deals just dont mean anything!

When I got this tweet in class I just openly started to laugh.

Trust me on this as an X fan, that means just about the equivalent to a pile of dog shit. I bet its for half a million a season. Butler simply doesn't have the money to pay him.

Charlotte is not UNC Charlotte. They used to say they were the University of North Carolina at Charlotte but don't have any relationship to UNC. Kinda weird.

Um...yes it is.

The school is UNC-Charlotte. The athletic teams are the Charlotte 49ers.

Can UNC do everyone a favor then and just get rid of the Charlotte branch? I don't know of one positive about that place.

LOL

I mean the only one worth anything is Wilmington, but that's because it's on the beach.

So its really like a 'branch' school? Kinda like how OSU has Lima, Newark, Marion, etc?

Yeah but they are big "branches" if you will, unlike OSU's

Did some very brief research on the UNC-C website, there are actually 16 schools within the UNC system

Agree. Wait till IU offers, it will be bye, bye Butler.

IU needs a guy like this.
